TOURS
My floating Market, Erawan Museum, and the dinner cruise buffet are booked through Klook. (Use my voucher code: RAFCARLOSAID) You can also book a day tour in Ayutthaya via the app.
ATTRACTIONS & TEMPLES
Most of the attractions have nearby train stations. When trying to go to a certain place, search for its nearest train station. If you are not that adventurous, you can hire Tuktuk for your temple tours. Learn to haggle and beware of Tuktuk scams.
For Wat Arun, the best experience is to ride a ferry. Drop by Saphan Taksin BTS Station. Take exit 1 and walk over to the Central Ferry Station. Buy tickets for the Orange Line on the public boat ticketing. The price is 30 baht.
The Orange Line can also take you to Icon Siam, Yaowarat, and other attractions. If you are in Wat Arun and want to visit Wat Pho, take the 8-minute ride from Wat Pho Pier to the other side of the pier.
Erawan Museum is located outside Bangkok. To visit, drop at Chit Lom (E1) station, and head straight for Exit 2. It is a 10-minute walk from the train station.
Jay Fai Restaurant - Fall in line around 6 AM to have a secured seat.
DAY TOUR IN PATTAYA
The cheapest way to visit Pattaya is via Bus. Head over to the Eastern Bus Terminal near Ekkamai BTS Station and buy roundtrip tickets for the day.
Secure as early as your first trip since the bus is always full. Travel time is approximately 1 hour depending on the traffic. Roaming around the city or going to Sanctuary of Truth you can use Grab.
WEEKEND & NIGHT MARKETS
Chatuchak is closed every MONDAY. The market opens Friday at 6 PM and closes at midnight. On Saturday and Sunday, it's open all day from 9 AM to 6 PM.
While other night markets are open daily until 9 PM.
SIM CARDS & OTHER ESSENTIALS
If you have the option to use an e-sim. Go for it! one of the convenient ways to use mobile data in Bangkok. However, some e-sim do not have a Thai phone number.
Download Line App or Whats app in case there are tour guide contacts you need to call or message. This is widely used in Thailand.
Suggest to only exchange a small number of dollars in the Airport as the exchange rate there is quite high. visit any Superrich International Exchange once you are in the city.
