Tips in Coron
To reach Coron there are various options. Fly from Manila to Coron or a ferry/fastcrat from El Nido to Coron Proper.
You need to pay ₱200.00 environmental fee before leaving the airport. It is best & advisable to hire a shared-van transfer at your hotel to avoid inconvenience & have a fixed rate of ₱250.00.
There are different backpacking hostel around the town proper.
There are different tours around the town proper or online, especially on Facebook. Just search best deals thoroughly!
For Scuba Diving, there is a session called Discover Scuba Diving or DSD for non-licensed Divers.
The payment includes, a dive master, equipment, lunch and snack. Some centers also offer free merchandise.
Price range for food starts at ₱80.00
Mt. Tapyas has 700+ steps & takes around 30-40 minutes depending on your pace. It is best to visit on Sunset or Sunrise as it has a 360-view.
On your Town Tour, there are van tours that offer a half day tour. Usually it starts around 02:00 PM. Otherwise, if you know how to ride a motorcycle, you can rent one and roam around the proper. Since attractions on the said tour are close to each other.
Coron is a diving site! So better if you have snorkling gears with you. Otherwise, you can rent them via your tour guide.
On your Calauit tour, there is a separate ecotourism fee for Busuanga Island that cost around ₱150.00 for Filipinos & ₱200.00 for Foreigner.
From town proper to Calauit it would take around 1 and a half hour van ride. There's also an option to visit the place via motorcycle.
