Hey, y'all! I'm a writer that provides free flash fiction sized content multiple times a month to people signed up to my newsletter and to visitors to my blog.

I don't give out rewards for subscribers, but not for the reasons you might think. I decided long ago to make as much of my content free for everyone. Aside from book sales, I don't charge for anything. My hopes with Buy Me a Coffee is that people who want to give some level of financial support will do so regardless, with the knowledge that they don't have to, nor will they get anything special for doing so. It's purely a support feature, a show of good faith that you appreciate what we do and want to support us in some manner. The newsletter will always be free. The audio on Spotify and YouTube will always be free. As much as I can give away will be free, now and forever. And yeah, that philosophy will hurt my profit margins. But you know what? I don't care about that. I get to do what I enjoy. I get to create stuff that makes people smile. I don't care about the money. You might not believe me, but that's the truth. Making enough to say I do this as a job is fine and all, but making content people enjoy is first and foremost. So, if you can spare a dollar, it will go toward making the content our team creates better. And if not, that's okay to. We appreciate just having people here.
