Keeping up to date with current news and events is like opening the bedroom curtains and seeing what the weather has in store for the day ahead. RadioUnited-SongBirds takes the time to broadcast noteworthy news and updates between songs, helping listeners stay informed while enjoying great music.
It's now clear that the biggest song of 2026 is "Choosin' Texas" by Ella Langley, which held the #1 spot for 24 weeks, a new record. It was co-written by Miranda Lambert, who sparked the idea with a story about how she got pulled over out-of-state with a kangaroo in her car ( I checked some sources and woah...it's legal to own a kangaroo in Texas). The song probably would have made it 25 weeks if not for Taylor Swift, who took the top spot with "Patient Zero."
