About Adam
My name is Adam Ghandour, and I am the founder of Radical Wellness. Born and raised in Brantford, Ontario, Canada, my journey into alternative health began from a place of personal crisis and revelation. In 2015, I was diagnosed with aggressive thyroid cancer, which led to a total thyroidectomy and the removal of 56 lymph nodes in my neck. The recovery process was brutal—121 stitches from the middle of my neck to my right ear, over two years of rehab to regain function in my right arm, and a massive dose of radiation treatment. This experience was a turning point, exposing me to the profound limitations and failures of modern medicine. Despite consulting with numerous specialists at top Canadian hospitals, I was met with narrow, surgery-focused treatment plans that left me dissatisfied and seeking more holistic solutions.
The traditional medical system, with its rigid protocols and one-size-fits-all approach, failed to address my individual needs. My journey took me through the halls of renowned institutions like Princess Margaret, Sunnybrook, and Juravinski hospitals, but all I encountered were treatments that masked symptoms rather than addressing the root causes. My symptoms were only getting worse, and I knew my solutions were not with the medical system. This frustration led me to delve deep into modern science, alternative studies, and integrative health practices. I discovered the transformative power of using food as medicine, detoxification, and holistic approaches to health, as well as allopathic medicine and methods not being used in Canada or other first-world countries. This journey ultimately inspired me to establish Radical Wellness.
Radical Wellness is born out of a desire to help people think outside the accepted norms of allopathic medicine. I believe that the body has an innate ability to heal itself if given the right raw materials: minerals, clean and mineral-rich water, nutritious food, nature, exercise, and a positive environment. This belief is not just theoretical for me—it’s grounded in my own experiences and the profound changes I have seen in my health and well-being through these practices.
In my practice, I offer integrative health consultations, lab tests outside of standard healthcare practices, personalized health plans, and wellness coaching. I specialize in addressing issues such as minerals and metals toxicity, candida overgrowth, rethinking thyroid diagnosis, and both men's and women's health issues. My approach is holistic, incorporating nutrition, supplements, herbs, exercise, detoxification methods, and promoting healthy lifestyle changes. Every client's journey is unique, and I tailor my services to meet their individual needs by listening to their stories, symptoms, and feelings, and coaching them toward better habits and lifestyle changes.
My personal philosophy integrates the mind, body, and spirit in health. As a Christian, I believe in the importance of having a relationship with a higher power for mental and physical resilience. Wellness, to me, is about being excited for a new day, eager to improve oneself, and committed to doing better for oneself and others, regardless of one’s current health status.
Through Radical Wellness, I aim to empower individuals to take control of their health and not be dependent on the conventional medical system. I want my clients to realize that they can always learn more about themselves and how to thrive without relying solely on industry or government experts. My mission is to show people that true healing comes from addressing root causes, not just masking symptoms, and to encourage critical thinking about health, highlighting the corruption and conflicts of interest in the medical system.
I engage with my local community through various programs and events, participating in joint live streams and podcasts, and planning to host workshops. Social media is a powerful tool I use to share information, resources, and promote critical thinking. While I am just starting out, I have been informally coaching, guiding, researching and practicing alternative health with family and friends. I am committed to making my practice inclusive and accessible through flexible scheduling, online meetings, and group sessions as well as a course offering.
Looking ahead, I envision expanding Radical Wellness by hosting and participating in more workshops and events, forming partnerships with other health and alternative health professionals, and continuing to read and engage with diverse viewpoints. My goal is to help people understand that they do not have to be dependent on a system and can take control of their health by learning more about themselves and how to thrive.
