Almost exactly 13 years ago, Queens of the Stone Age were invited to perform at the legendary Bridge School Benefit, an annual charity concert series held to raise money and awareness for The Bridge School, which provides education and support for children with disabilities.
Founded in 1986 by Neil and Pegi Young, the event was held annually at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California, from 1986 until 2016.
In 2013, the 27th annual Bridge School Benefit took place over two nights, October 26 and 27, and the lineup included Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, My Morning Jacket, Elvis Costello, Diana Krall, fun., Heart, Jenny Lewis, Arcade Fire, Jack Johnson and, on the second night, a rare perfromance by Tom Waits.
