There's a few things I would like to write about today (September 28th, 2025)... I'm gonna TRY to be brief-although it can be hard because I love to write. LOL!
I mentioned in my 2nd channel that my videos are private on BOTH of my channels. I should have wrote about it in my community board and explained that my videos will be private for a few weeks. I apologize for not letting you guys know. I've been getting a lot of private messages as to why is it private, did someone hacked it, etc.? I just wanted to go through all the settings, playlists, videos because most were not monetized for some reason. It's very discouraging because I did this a few months back and I feel it's an error on YouTube's part. Anyhow, I ain't even gonna get into how I feel about YouTube now because my rant will be longer (LOL). I will have all of my videos public on both channels in the beginning of October. ☺️
I recently opened up an Etsy Shop. If you can, please check it out. You do not have to order anything but more clicks can make Etsy show my items more to other buyers. For a long while, I have mentioned in my vlogs that I wanna be a little advanced with making books, albums, folios, etc. before I open up my Etsy Shop and I finally had the courage to do that. I'm still a little nervous about it because I'm no pro! But, I DO know that I do my projects with a lot of time and love. I don't do these projects sloppy or in a rush. I take my sweet time, analyzing it, trying to perfect it, trying to combine everything beautifully-not just for me, but for the person who receives it. It's never gonna be 100% perfect, since it's homemade, but I DO put my 100%!
The only thing I'm kinda iffy about is the pricing. I really, REALLY hate charging so much for an item. After doing my research and even reaching out to other women I follow who sells similar items and asking them about pricing, they charge the same price (if not, more)... I do have to consider that some of these notebooks/albums can take me 2-3 days. That's MY time, so I do have to consider that (because I can be doing other things rather than do a book)... The materials I use to put these books together... It is handmade so you have to buy paper, cardstock, cardboard, glue, double-sided tape, ephemera, embellishments, lace/ribbons, etc... Doing a handmade book is NOT easy. Trust me!!! I do it because I LOVE IT!!!
Since I was young, I've always loved papers, stickers, stationary stuff, etc. I'm 48 and I STILL love it! It calms me down and it's VERY therapeutic for me and brings out the creative side of me.
Another thing, I've seen the same kind of items I'm selling for the same price (if not, more) and it doesn't bring so much inside. Just a book with 2-3 tags, paper with designs and that's it! I try to add a little more tags, more pockets, mini notebooks, paper clips, etc. to make it nice and full. It's the least I can do for the price! I mean, I get it!!! I know it's time consuming, a lot of work, a lot of materials used, etc.-but, I just feel bad charging (let's say) $45-50 for an album. Maybe it's just me. LOL!
I just wanna make money (apart from YouTube) and show my creative side. It's something I've always loved doing as a child and it's something I love doing now as an old lady (LOL)...
For now, I only listed 3 items. I will be posting more items soon. I have three mini plastic bins FULL of notebooks, notepads, folios, albums, etc. that I have been doing since the summertime. I will be showing them from time to time in my vlogs...
