I Have Bell's Palsy:

I Have Bell's Palsy:

Nov 19, 2025

Good morning/afternoon/evening (depending on when you see this entry). This may be a little long, but most of you know-I love to write...

Sorry I have not been posting any videos on YouTube and active on my social media platforms. I've been having a pretty rough couple of few weeks.

On Thursday, (11/13/25)-I was watching a movie with my husband, and I was noticing that my left eye was weird. Also, I felt like I wasn't talking clearly and was a bit sluggish (when speaking). A few days prior, my left side of my body was in PAIN! I'm thinking: "Maybe I have flare ups due to Fibromyalgia." Also, my left shoulder was in a lot of pain... Since I also have arthritis there, I'm thinking: "Maybe that's why my entire arm, my neck and face hurts from the left." I deal with pain everyday due to Fibromyalgia so I'm just thinking I'm just having bad flares because I've been doing so much.

On Friday, (11/14/25)-I woke up early (as usual) and I saw that my left side of my face was not normal. It wasn't me! I felt paralyze on my left side of my face... Couldn't blink. Couldn't smile. My face was just different.

I checked on ChatGPT and it said it can be Bell's Palsy or Stroke and I need to go to the ER now! I took a quick shower and took an uber to the ER. They attended me right away. I must admit, they really took care of me. They looked at me and automatically said it looks like Bell's Palsy but they were gonna run some tests. They did a cat scan, amongst other things, etc... And it was exactly that-Bell's Palsy.

I am taking medication for it... My face has swelled down and I'm seeing some improvement but it can take a few weeks, even months to recover. To me, I think it'll be a few weeks because I took care of the problem right away. Thank God! I was so scared thinking I'm gonna have a stroke or something!!! Thankfully, it wasn't...

I was gonna do a short video on it, but I really don't have the time. I was nervous about doing a video because although I still look like myself, my left side of my face seems a little "droopy" (sort of say) and most importantly, there's certain words that I can't clearly pronounce because my left side of my face is still "numb". Today, my left eyes starting having some movements, closing a little (but not completely) so I am VERY happy about that because it shows I'm improving, although I still have a week or more to go... I just don't have time because with everything going on with ongoing flare ups these past few weeks, etc.-I am delayed in other things... Hopefully, I'll start doing newer videos next week (entering Thanksgiving) and will explain it better in my vlogs and give you guys more updates...

I have pre recorded videos that I can edit now (even if its from a while ago), but my left eye was hurting me so much when I was looking into a computer and very irritating... I got an eye patch (recently) and that's what is helping me write this entry today on my computer.

I've watched many videos on Bell's Palsy on YouTube and I will link two of them for you guys can get a better idea on what it is. Please do not worry because I am a strong woman and I will be okay. I'm remaining positive and I have to look at it like, "Even in a bad situation/time-everything happens for a reason."

There's no medical reason why this 'all of a sudden' happens to someone... But, it can be a lot of things: Stress. High blood pressure. Bacteria/Virus. Inflammation. It's a few things...

To me, I've been having real bad Sinusitis. I also had a very bad cold. I think my body was not able to fight it and that's why I got it.

I would say more, but I'll do a video next week and explain it in more details.

It sucks this has to happen now, before the holidays is approaching. :-(. I must admit, this year has been REALLY TOUGH for me. It was more bad then good. But, I am saying to myself, "It this year wasn't pleasant, it means next year I'm gonna have an amazing year!" That's all I can do-speak positive and think positive...

I will leave the links for you can understand what Bell's Palsy is. Pardon my short absence on YouTube. At least I'm giving you guys highlights as to what's going on.

I have a video edited, (pre recorded), but I have to add music and final touches. It'll be on YouTube in a few days.

Thank you so much for reading this entry and keep me in your prayers.

Love you all so much!

Providencia Silva

XOXOXO.
