What Project Relief Does Every Day
At Project Relief, our work is hands-on, urgent, and constant. Every single day we:
Respond to emergencies : when ICE detains someone in our community, we step in right away to connect them with a lawyer, gather documentation, and make sure their rights are protected.
Raise and manage funds , we organize fundraisers for legal fees, bail/bond, and essential support like rent, groceries, and transportation for families left behind.
Provide direct support , we deliver food, diapers, and other necessities to families in crisis, making sure no one is left without basic needs.
Coordinate with lawyers : we spend hours talking with attorneys, reviewing cases, filing paperwork, and pushing to get people released.
Amplify stories : We write, translate, and share the voices of immigrants and Black community members so that their struggles and resilience are not ignored.
Build community power: We organize neighbors, volunteers, and donors so that together we can resist systemic racism and state violence.
