Father, I come before You today with a heart full of expectation. Not because I know what this day will bring, but because I know the One who holds it.
Your Word says, “In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly” (Psalm 5:3).
So today, I will wait expectantly. I expect Your grace to be sufficient, Your wisdom to guide me, Your strength to sustain me, and Your goodness to meet me along the way.
Open my eyes to see where You are working. Give me faith to follow when You lead and courage to obey when You speak.
I will not put my expectation in circumstances, people, or outcomes. “My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him” (Psalm 62:5).
Lord, surprise me with Your faithfulness today. Use me for Your purposes, order my steps, and let me finish this day able to say, “Surely the Lord was in this place.”
