About Kala | Politikala

Hi, I’m Kala, creator of Politikala, where politics, philosophy, and the pursuit of liberty meet a little feminine curiosity. I cover American politics, policy, and geopolitics through a moderately conservative lens. I've got an interest in bringing the Republican Party back to its ideas and getting Americans talking to each other instead of past each other. My recurring series include Current Events Condensed, a digestible look at the stories shaping our world, and Pretty Well Read, where books, philosophy, and political ideas meet. I also publish The Sunday Edit, my weekly Substack newsletter connecting the headlines, ideas, and conversations worth having. Beyond domestic politics, I follow Israel and the Middle East, advocate for the Iranian people's freedom from the Islamic Republic, and examine the ideologies shaping conflicts at home and abroad.
