💡Welcome + New Ideas To Thank Regular ☕ Supporters / Monthly Memberships ℹ️

Oct 14, 2022

ℹ️ INFORMATION POST: not sent out. These types of posts are not sent by email. Only people seeing this, are those interested in clicking on it.

What I believe In: Everyone has a right to privacy [not a 'nick': a belief system]. I truly believe that. Information should be free.

POST PUTS FOCUS ON BONUS MATERIAL / IDEAS TO THANK THOSE WHO SUPPORT. VAST MAJORITY POSTS WILL BE PUBLIC, OR OTHERWISE BECOME PUBLIC SOMETIME IN FUTURE.

(as long as this remains a relatively small following blog, some posts may be sensitive, scraped by robots, or simply copied over by larger creators without sharing any source credit for ideas; hence some private posts, hopefully becoming public sometime in future)

Thank you and welcome to everyone reading, watching, subscribed / following, sharing this content. And of course: Thank you to those who have bought me a coffee at any point. Always makes my day. 💻😎 ☕

ℹ️ Create this content for everyone, (don't have to register to view vast majority content here)... I share unique content / reports / guides / advice on topics / setups. My focus: topics in security + privacy / anonymity, things everyone should know (public) : find original reports / content / ideas not covered elsewhere (videos appear here for everyone first released on video channels later [new idea]).

🎁 SUSTAINING MEMBERSHIPS: THANK YOU + REWARDS (OPTIONAL)

[ planning "bonus" material to thank members for support -- making / keeping maximum public - for as long as this channel / blog remains small + not promoted well by algorithm, I'd like to prevent larger creators from profiting off certain concept ideas without offering credit, overshadowing work here; most things (if not everything, if / when channel grows), eventually become public ].

[ TIP: whether 1 month at a time, or 12 months at a time, upgrading / changing membership tier options is easy (new feature from BMAC announced recently).

change mind later? Cancel anytime --

I try to listen to member suggestions, creating content I think you will like to see / learn about; even if not a monthly member, I appreciate any and all forms of feedback / support.

Sharing content: great way to support (costs $0 to paste links to posts / video).

COFFEE DONOR REWARDS

Even if not interested in sustaining monthly ☕ supporter membership, if you ever donated 6 total ☕☕☕☕☕☕ coffees (over any period of time: or equivalent membership / XMR / Monero / Cashapp), I offer choice between current RTPBOX or Pihole WiFi Router, both as a support incentive, and way to say: "thank you".

(meet any above qualifiers and have interest, simply reach out: happy to share very latest custom image, making initial setup easy)

NO PERSONAL INFORMATION EVER SHARED WITH ME FOR DONATIONS.
ONLY SEE THE NICKNAME YOU CHOOSE TO SHARE.

💎 Anonymous support options (like monero) available (XMR / Monero / Cashapp)

Video channels demonetized - donations, are optional. Putting over 3 years daily work since beginning channel, can be challenging: goal is to continue providing as much helpful information, public. "Bonus" Support rewards help ensure this can continue into future (as long as possible).

One idea / thing mentioned in past is custom "extra" img's to show my appreciation, a "thank you", to regular supporters.

Continuing to make RTPBOX more unique / useful.

📁 RTPBOX:

custom concepts "privacy box" img for raspberry pi: selfhosting offers greatest control over privacy, security [ for our ethical Human Rights purposes ].

  • automated setup Nextcloud (hidden service + crypto keys generated for you - only you have them)

  • automated Nextcloud hidden service upgrade command (+ backs up original)

  • privatebin (hidden service + crypto keys generated for you on first time booting)

  • torified wifi onion router - great for anonymizing encrypted messengers / other apps (turn on/off anytime inside boxshell)

  • Web based admin option (firewall controls along with everything else - turn off/on in boxshell)

  • boxshell menushell for changing custom settings

  • dev identifier changes (control some inside boxshell)

  • Pi Wire -> Radio Transmitter (RPITX - new ideas coming)

  • probe detection + alerts

  • security log alert mailing to 3rd party account

  • original concepts / features not yet mentioned

  • coming soon: become Tor Snowflake Proxy (will be optional - you choose, nice to give back to network)

[ WHY SELFHOST FOR MAXIMIZING SECURITY / PRIVACY? ]
Alternative options like rented cloud services / VPS (sharing hardware with others) could subvert the very websites hosted [ if so inclined ]: including credentials, phishing etc. On VPS: you see frontend of what host allows you to see at the point of entry you connect into. Point is: we can't control rented servers unless selfhosting (Pi/SBC).

With selfhosting we control every possible aspect of the hardware / software. Many benefits.

Not badmouthing excellent hosts out there (there are reputable ones), but you never truly control rented cloud hosting 100%. By understanding this, we find more suitable use cases.

On positive note: VPS / Cloud servers can be useful / affordable option for specific projects (like hosting small business websites, resume, etc - for that, VPS can be a nice option). No, I don't recommend setting up your own VPN on rented clouds -- it's better to at least mix within larger VPN (doesn't mean you should trust any VPN. See: this post).

Here I'm interested in maximizing Human Rights autonomy potential (requiring selective anonymity / privacy / security). Speaking from stance that vulnerable people around the world all deserve protection. The most powerful way to empower the powerless, is anonymity / privacy (selectively). Secure communication and encryption (free of backdoors: see this) is essential.

RTPBOX img + initial setup answers as an "extra" (supports many hours of work on all projects, videos, articles + offering you something unique, in return for support).

In addition to availability as an "extra", want to share the same benefits with sustaining (longer term) monthly memberships (see membership section to understand what month each member level gets access + initial setup help).

🍓Pihole 📶 WiFi Router (Longer Term Membership Accesses: Latest)

📁 ACCESS PIHOLE CUSTOM ROUTER IN "EXTRAS" OR WHEN YOU REACH:

$5 / Month Members: access latest Pihole WiFi Router [ ON MONTH 6 ]
$10 / Month Members: access latest Pihole WiFi Router [ ON MONTH 3 ]
$25 / Month Members: access latest Pihole WiFi Router [ ON MONTH 1: immediate access ]

When reaching the above, you also get answers to initial setup questions, in case you run into trouble.

(current membership has access to latest, once hitting above months listed)

ℹ️ WHY USE ANOTHER ROUTER: Could your ISP router have a backdoor?

📺 If you missed related video / article on hardware backdoors history (+ routers):

💡 TIP: Some ISP's proxy DNS queries through 'advertiser' DNS servers. Certain ISP's are paid to do so in partnerships.

One way to see if this is the case (in some scenarios), is going to a website that "doesn't exist". If redirected to an ISP related page with suggestions, your ISP likely is part of this effort (example: 'barefruit' was part of a Verizon partnership not long ago).

Not all advertiser companies act in purely advertisement service sense. Many sell data collected on the side.

See: Whistleblower Analysis: 93% ISP Customer Data Sold.

In 2017, Trump administration passed legislation allowing ISP's to sell customer data, identifiers, "without customer explicit consent".

💡 SOLUTION: Pihole with DNS Server WiFi Router setup mitigates: DNS queries performed in router (built in DNS server stores resolves, meaning your network (when using router img) helping minimize sharing queries with your ISP, nor can a malicious ISP redirect us to phishing pages. DNS: the popular way ISP's have been known to spy on customers (legal for ISP's to sell customer data "without customer explicit consent", in US since 2017).

DNS: popular way (select) ISP's censor websites on the internet (in certain areas of the world).

🖼️ SCREENSHOTS (CUSTOM PIHOLE WIFI ROUTER):

First Login Customizing Begins:

Original Menushell (Made For This Router):

PIHOLE ADMIN:

INCLUDES WEB BASED ADMIN (OPTION)

(custom Pihole WiFi router img: an "extra" and / or "thank you" for regular members [see above for months of access per membership tier option])

💡 Also very much appreciate those helping share content - among the best ways to support. 🙂

Big Thank you goes out to those who joined - whether short term or long term membership, everything makes a difference, motivating more content / research / sharing. Will continue finding new unique ways to say thanks, things like early releases, exclusive posts / tips (other times sent by direct message / members anon chat [others in post form]).

👐 WELCOME EVERYONE 🙂

Donations / Membership Completely Optional (+ provide access to exclusive content)

Goal here is to inform public / share what you need to know (without "fluff" content found on some channels, burning up your time), building as much useful content / public services as possible.

Keep in mind all video channels / posts are set to demonetized - voluntary donations sustain these projects, videos, articles, servers. Countless hours can be a challenge to maintain, balancing life, costs, etc.

Currently, content searchable by title / organized by category. Click a category at the main posts page. Have a look around. Vast majority posts public, or will be so in the future. Planning to organize / prioritize suggested posts / topics, to help you meet goals. Possibly on the Gitea Onion.

🖥️ PUBLIC ACCESS SERVERS (to protect you)

(public services include anonymous 🧅 Gitea (Tor) Onion (use Tor Browser), 🧅 🔐 Privatebin Tor Hidden Service (anonymous, "zero knowledge" encrypted pastebin)).

Servers open to everyone. View / use freely, or, if you would like to create your own repositories, there is a simple registration (free). Contribute (or make private repositories) on anonymous gitea: code, wiki. See: 🧅 Gitea (Tor) Onion (use Tor Browser).

Feel free to take advantage of the anonymous pastebin as well (host cannot read AES encrypted paste data "zero knowledge". It's a great way to share PGP keys, credentials, etc.

All I ask is: do not abuse these services.

Anyone asking questions that could create legal trouble will be ignored (no funding to deal with that; always ethical Human Rights purposes in mind). If you notice a Gitea repository / paste with malicious malware, or a public paste abusing the service, please email (or file issue / comment) on the abusive links - while no one can read password protected pastes (not even the server admin: for user protection), link locations can be removed themselves if proof of abuse is offered (send proof: proof is needed to delete, avoiding anything that could cause legal trouble: the main / only rule for everything -- no abusing services, no illicit activity. Thank you.).

Find other public things I'm working on (all public): 🧅 Gitea (Tor) Onion.

Post covers how to meet goals of "giving back" to reliable / sustaining monthly members.

Today: added details into monthly membership levels.

ℹ️ Doesn't cost anything to support and help this grow. Simply sharing content with others is a great, free way to show support. Only takes a second to copy and paste a links to posts / videos. Others may find unique content useful.
