This is a notice (in advance) of some minor hardware upgrades coming soon.
I wanted to share: there will be migration of the entire Gitea Onion.
The dedicated server is to be upgraded to a faster, much larger SSD for everyone.
Also: shout out / Thank You, to members, helping fund this new storage upgrade / other hardware featured here in tutorials and more.
This server upgrade has been a long-time coming, and it's for very good reason.
Not only were we more limited in space, the current storage already has quite a few hours on it.
This SSD upgrade will be brand new hardware, so should keep things running for the future.
This post exists to notify everyone who may be using it, that they may expect a little bit of downtime, during migration process.
To keep everyone updated who relies upon it, nothing is wrong. It's still up at time of this post, and won't be down that long during the process.
This is a minor reminder to please only host files on it that are legal of course.
We don't want to risk server / hosting of it, in order to continue offering it into future.
So only ask to please do be mindful of what you upload. As we wish to protect the server from legal non-sense.
This info isn't based on anything - haven't noticed problems or anything. Just a friendly reminder.
