As we know from yesterday’s post, as House Blue’s influence spread, so did that of their allies. Over time, some of these allies began to interbreed with House Blue through marriage, leading to the creation of new species.
What this humble lore master did not tell you is that from every generation, a select few were chosen by Empress Ghost Blue herself and taken to a palace world to be raised by her alone. Some of these chosen ones were seen years later as ambassadors, often to their own home worlds, or as military leaders. Others became custodians of the off-world libraries, for Empress Blue built at least one vast library on each world House Blue controlled.
But many of these chosen were simply never seen again. There is a Babylon myth which states that in the year 35,209 AEM, one of these chosen ones was seen wandering a desert world. They had snow on their clothes, frost in their hair, and were saying only one word over and over: ‘valley.’
Of course, this is probably just a myth. Probably.
