Every photograph I capture is a labor of love and a deep dive into the quiet corners of the natural world. This specific piece, "Live Oak Trees and Spanish Moss Roadway," was born from a desire to bottle that ethereal, sun-drenched magic found only in the Southern landscape.
The photograph highlights a rhythmic canopy of ancient oaks, their branches heavy with the delicate, lace-like textures of Spanish moss that sway with the coastal breeze. I wanted to capture the exact moment when the light breaks through the leaves, illuminating the winding dirt road and inviting the viewer to step into a scene of absolute stillness. It’s a piece that celebrates the healing power of nature and the timelessness of the Georgia wilderness.
