5 Ways To Fix Your Piano Playing

Right now you can save 40% on piano lessons so you can play your favorite songs and reach all of your musical goals:

And because this month is all about "Mid-Years Resolutions" and giving you everything you need to be successful on the piano, I also wanted to share 5 tips that will help you see faster results on the piano (and honestly, in anything you want to learn):

1. Start small
Small goals are achievable and often snowball into larger results. Wanting to play Claire de Lune is a big goal (and a hard one). But committing to practicing for just 10 minutes a day? That’s achievable.

2. Change one behavior at a time
This ties in with the first one. You don’t need to completely change your life to get better at the piano. But is there something you do each day that you could substitute for a little practice?

3. Talk about it
Telling someone about your goals makes you accountable. If you want to get better at the piano, tell a friend or family member. Not only will this help motivate you, and it will also give you someone to share your success with.

4. Don’t beat yourself up
Nobody is perfect, and nobody can be perfect. We all fail. We all get frustrated. If you don’t practice for a week -- don’t beat yourself up.

5. Ask for support
If you don’t know what to do to get better -- ASK! In nearly every email I ask you to write to me if you have a question. I don’t say this to be nice, I say it because I mean it. Even if you never want to become a Pianote member -- if there is something I can help you with, please ask.

Change is possible.
