Hi — I’m Peter Sauer, a SWE and roboticist based in Boulder, Colorado.

By day I build distributed systems and autonomous platforms — currently at Applied Intuition on defense robotics, and before that designing autonomous boats at Ocean Power Technologies. I have an MS in Robotics from Northwestern, a background that spans software, hardware, and real-world field systems, and I’ve been making things since high school robotics.

At night I’m building docktor: a free macOS app that puts glass widgets next to your Dock — music (Spotify & Apple Music), calendar, weather, and live window previews. It’s the kind of polish I want on my own Mac, shipped as a signed, notarized beta with your data staying on-device by default.
