About At the Edge
At the Edge is an independent media and communications platform exploring new ways for people and wildlife to thrive together.
I’m Peter Cairns and for the past 30 years, I’ve worked as an environmental communicator, building bridges between people and wild nature.
If I’ve learned anything, it’s that nature’s place in our future hinges less on science and policy, and more on how we, as a society, think and feel about the landscapes around us and the species that share our space.
At a time when nature-hostile politics, culture wars and misinformation threaten the fragile resurgence of wildlife, it's vital that we come together and explore the fault lines that currently divide opinion over nature’s place in our future. To listen. To share perspectives. And to find common ground.
