Cats can sleep on the sharpest object and hey—if it rubs them the right way I’m not one to judge but some of the things they choose are just kind of questionable and I can’t help it. Maybe it’s their fur that holds that kind of cushion, or maybe they genuinely just don’t care.
For example, my cat’s name is Prince and he will sleep on just about anything. Ignore my foot in the first picture, or give me money for more pics it’s all up to you. ;) :0
You know, my boss said to me yesterday—your success is up to you and while, it wasn’t stated directly to me, it meant a lot; because, I’m just starting and those little inspirational quotes bring tears to my eyes (not literally—I’m not that sappy grandma that loves to put those quotes on cards and their handwriting is hard to read because it’s all blurry from the crying they were doing writing it… We were talking about feet, weren’t we?
And it’s not just the fact they sleep on uncomfortable objects (or so you’d think). They are so downright cute to the point until when they step on your boob providing you with just enough “mmnnphahhhggghhh” to get up for the day. Prince, my cat (as shown in the pictures above) used to lick my hair and try to groom it, which ngl kinda cute but he did it every morning like clockwork and if you’ve never had your cat groom YOU, you’re lucky because it’s painful. Their tongue is so fine that the tiniest comb couldn't compare—and my hair is outlandishly thick, (thanks, Dad).
Anyways, we still love them. And for me, I lived two years without my loverboy and it wasn’t the same. No welcoming flops, or spooning, or cute little communicative chirps that say “you’re back home” and a rub against your ankle, well, and your doc martins after taking them off.
I wasn’t kidding when I said spooning, he LOVES his belly rubs. And will flop over and over until he gets some.
I didn’t have doc martins then and I do now and it’s like well, they’re really comfortable. I’ve only heard that they’re super uncomfortable you know and up until I got my own pair did I realize people are so wrong and to make my own opinion on things like that.
I guess that’s my subject for the day, though I guess, I really just do love cats and the fact that Prince, he will check up on you just as much as you check up on him, and he’ll follow you around the house and try to protect you from the strays that put their paws on the window. He’ll hiss and even get all poofy. His floof is the softest in the world. It’s luscious.
