The Never Ending Project

imageMy work involves contact with vulnerable people, many of whom are at the end stages of their life. It keeps me mindful about preparing for when I become less able. This includes making the backyard more manageable. You can see from this photo how far the yard has come in over a year.

I have done the majority of the work myself. I did have some breaks from shifting copious amounts of soil, boulders and cement myself. This included painting a depiction of a Darwin sunset. Is still a work in progress. I also had side quests of buying second hand pots. I’m amazed with the beautiful colours that they are made with nowadays.

I have made friends with a neighbour who is going to jackhammer out the last of the boulders for me. I previously broke them apart with a sledgehammer 😅 it will be another week before he can help me. I was feeling very impatient then I was hit with a chest infection which has made me slow down.
