My friend CJ calls my cinnamon roll dough Magic Dough, and it really is.
It is so easy to work with, rolls out like a dream with zero to minimal sticking, and is rich, soft, and delightful!
Here are my cinnamon rolls. So pretty!
The dough gets that lovely, pale yellow color from egg yolks, so you know it's rich, and the emulsifiers in the yolks keep the dough smooth and silky.
This dough, a half-recipe of it, also makes an appearance in my chocolate honey buns, so use it for all your sweet roll needs. It's super versatile!
