Howdy, folks.
This has been a BAD year for productivity, and there are more reasons for that than I'm able to share. Let's just say both internal and external forces are the culprits, and leave it at that.
However, I began hearing Gunny Dickerson's voice a month or two ago. I've heard VonAhn. And I've seen things you won't believe until I write them. In other words, the follow-up to Neptune Scars is taking shape in my brain again, and the good news is that I'll have some time to write the damned thing.
I reread the 22k words I'd already written and was amazed at how well I liked them. Granted, there are more than a few warts I need to remove with acid and a dremel, but I like where it's going and its pace is pretty fast. Almost too fast.
All that is to say that I finally feel like I'm able to compose prose again. That also means a new audio serial is headed your way. When? I don't know. But I think by September I'll have the first half of the book in good enough shape to record. Void knows, it could happen sooner.
Keep in mind, however, that I'm still recovering from my shoulder surgery, and while my recuperation is going quite well, my arm still gets tired fairly quickly. I have to take a lot of breaks during a single session, so I'm not confident of my speed to get it all down. But I'll figure it out.
So while I continue my convalescence, I do have another evil idea in my mind for the next serial. But I'll save that until I think I'm ready. That should be relatively soon.
