In the spring of 2024, I interviewed Carmen Ramírez for more than an hour in English in Barcelona. She told me how she ended up in Colombia in love with one of Pablo Escobar’s compañeros, then became his captive, fled Colombia, and lived for decades in Europe.
She also spoke about a life-changing incident, a divine revelation, and how she put her life experiences into a book.
