Support James (PanDoor) Genaro

I'm a musician and composer whose day job is operating an event space and magical store called The Well, and who spends much of my time organizing community events and running a performance art troupe called Surreal Sirkus.

I'm also a music teacher, a father, and a husband, and more recently I have taken over as executive director for Arts 2 People, a non-profit that works to support artists in Asheville, NC, where we live.

I'm trying to bring all of these various projects and interests together to weave a life in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, which devastated much of Western North Carolina last year and left so many of us in the arts community struggling to make a living.

Your support directly empowers me to keep doing this kind of work for the Asheville community, which has been my home and my inspiration for the past 30 years.

I don't always find it easy to ask for help. But I do believe in the sacredness of reciprocity, and that supporting the arts — financially or otherwise — is not only good for artists but for the very fabric of society, which is woven through and through with the creative output of its members.
