I'm Steve, and I'm a nut for things with wings.
Back in 2005 I created a website called 'The Hawk's Nest'. 'Tis dedicated to the Curtiss P-40 Warhawk, as well as other Curtiss birds. The site has since grown to become one of the premiere P-40 resources on the internet, and continues to expand.
With hundreds of period photos, images, and accompanying background information, The Hawk's Nest has evolved into a significant historical archive documenting the Curtiss P-40, from its beginnings as a single modified P-36A airframe in 1938, to the very last production example to roll off the assembly lines in 1944.
If you're a fan of the P-40, of Curtiss-Wright, or of historical aviation in general, please consider making a small donation. You'll be helping to keep The Hawk's Nest online and ensure the continued expansion of this historical archive.
