P0larPatch is about listening.
As an Arctic field recording project, PolarPatch documents the soundscapes of Northern Norway. The ongoing series "Arctic Mindfulness" features ocean waves, coastal silence and the hidden sounds of nature, captured for meditation, relaxation and deep listening.
PolarPatch also builds BlueWatch, a free and open-source tool that listens to the invisible: the Bluetooth signals around us. It runs on a Raspberry Pi and never transmits. It shows what is nearby, from phones, wearables and trackers to surveillance cameras like Flock and Axon. It warns about tracking and spam attacks, and it gives a rough picture of how many people are around, all without storing anything personal.
