The cats here always have food. They are never hungry. But today, a friend brought something different: dry food mixed with döner. For cats, a new smell and a new taste is a big event. That is why they got so excited. It was not hunger, it was curiosity and joy over an unexpected treat. Döner is a popular Turkish food made from seasoned meat that slowly cooks on a vertical rotating spit and is sliced thin when served.
