New samples!! I'm beyond chuffed

Mar 09, 2026

I ordered samples of some pieces I made for my ACG store a couple months ago so that I could take actual product photos, work out what changes I needed to make to help the designs read better...and also I want my art. It's been a very long time since I've actively been proud of and wanted to buy my own art. With all that said... why don't we take a peek at some goodies, shall we?

I'll start with the keychains.

Fizzie is the smallest of the lot. Imp-sized, if you will. I'm a huge fan of the rainbow finishing material, which you'll catch on to pretty quick with all these recent samples.

Next up, we have a design that I honestly wasn't terribly excited about. I had been fighting with certain elements of the piece and had reached a point where I had gotten far too far into my own head. All that being said, I was proven incredibly wrong. The ripple effect and translucent elements are fantastic.

imageI had to do at least ONE nod to Bryce's Broadway career. I love A Gentleman's Guide to love and Murder. Bryce brings such a playful deviousness to the role of Monty Navarro. I wanted to capture a touch of that here.

Then there's Father. There's Father serving a feast. My Gods. This was the piece where when I finished it, I had to take a step back and be like, "did...wait a minute-I did that? I did that!" I only ordered the keychain version, but there is a standee that, in an attempt to appear even slightly like a financially responsible adult, I am pacing myself on purchasing. I did make the die line around the design slightly thicker to help with durability and to show a bit more of the background gradient colors.

This design... is why we order samples. My roommate very kindly pointed out that this is reading as 'Can you dot' instead of 'Can you not'. I'm going to mess around with the text a bit more before I post it to my shop. I'm also toying with the idea of fleshing out an actual scene to go with this. I do want to see how I feel about this as a print.

Now this one, I am completely in love with. I started messing around with the white ink print layer to make the eyes glow when light shines behind them. That technique in combination with the rainbow material made the effect POP. The rose gold star clasp is also so stinking cute. This whole thing is so cute. I'm so happy.

In the next post, I'll be showing off the couple of standees and tote bag!
