😴 Sleep Stack Protocol

---

⚠️ Start Here

> Insomnia doesn’t just happen for no reason.

This isn’t just about sleep — it’s about getting your system back into rhythm.

Use as needed. Avoid regular use if possible.

Rotation may help. Pay attention to how you respond.

---

✅ Core Sleep Stack

Start here. Try one thing at a time.

You don’t need to stack unless it’s not working.

Begin with any of the three core supplements.

Choose the one that feels right, then stack others if needed —

in whatever order fits your response.

---

🧪 1. Magnesium Glycinate

Start with: 100 mg (1 capsule)

Titrate to: 400 mg (up to 4 capsules)

Take: 30–45 min before bed

With: Light snack

If you get:

Loose stools → lower dose

Wired feeling → stop (paradoxical activation)

Note:

Don’t take in the morning for sleep support.

---

🧪 2. Melatonin

Start with: 1 mg

Titrate to: 2–3 mg if needed

Emergency reset: 10–20 mg once (only after multiple nights of no sleep)

Take: 30 min before bed

Stomach: Works best on an empty stomach — if you’ve eaten, wait 30 min or bump dose

slightly.

Side Effects:

Grogginess

Vivid dreams

Emotional dullness if overused

---

🧪 3. CBD:THC Gummy (1:1)

Start with: 2.5 mg CBD + 2.5 mg THC

Titrate to: 5–10 mg each

Take: ~60 min before bed

Strain: Indica or products labeled “Sleep” or “Calm”

Avoid: Anything labeled “Creative” or “Energy”

Then:

30 min before bed → take magnesium + melatonin with a light snack

Notes:

If you feel anxious or paranoid → stop

Light stomach works best

Tolerance builds fast — don’t use nightly long-term

---

🔁 If/Then Adjustments

Can’t stop thinking? → Add L-theanine (100–200 mg)

Fall asleep fine, wake up at 3 AM? → Add glycine (3g) + hydrate

3+ nights of broken sleep? → Use the 10 mg melatonin reset once

THC makes you edgy? → Skip it, try magnesium + lemon balm instead

---

🧪 Optional Add-On Tools

Use only if the Core Stack isn’t cutting it.

Try one at a time.

Chamomile tea — 1–2 bags, steep strong

Lemon balm — calming herb

Glycine — 3g, helps cool core body temp

L-Theanine — 100–200 mg, calming for mental chatter or THC side effects

> 🔸 Don’t try everything at once.

🔸 Add only if sleep is still disrupted after a few nights.

---

🧭 Sleep Stack Titration Flow

Start anywhere → titrate slowly → only add if needed.

---

🔹 Option A: Magnesium Glycinate

✅ 100 mg

→ Increase to 200 mg

→ Increase to 300 mg

→ Max: 400 mg (as tolerated)

Take with a light snack, 30–45 min before bed.

---

🔹 Option B: Melatonin

✅ 1 mg (30 min before bed)

→ Increase to 2 mg

→ Max: 3 mg (standard ceiling)

→ Rare override: 10–20 mg once if severely sleep-deprived

Best on an empty stomach. If taken with food, wait 30 min or slightly increase dose.

---

🟰 You can start with either — or test both separately.

Only titrate one at a time so you know what’s working.

---

🔹 Option C: CBD:THC Gummy (1:1 Ratio)

✅ 2.5 mg CBD + 2.5 mg THC

→ Increase to 5 mg each

→ Max: 10 mg each

Take 60 minutes before bed.

Then take melatonin + magnesium 30 minutes before bed with a small snack.

---

🔹 Optional Final Layer (Add one only if needed)

→ Chamomile tea

→ Lemon balm tea

→ Glycine – 3g

→ L-Theanine – 100–200 mg

Use only if the core stack isn’t working after a few nights.

Don’t stack more than one at a time.

---

🕒 Sleep Timing Summary

60 min before bed: CBD:THC gummy (optional)

30–45 min before bed: Magnesium + Melatonin (with snack)

30 min before bed: Screens OFF

---

⚠️ Medication Interactions (If Relevant)

Magnesium Glycinate

Interferes with some antibiotics (doxy, cipro) — separate by 2–4 hrs

May affect magnesium levels if on diuretics

Avoid if you have significant kidney disease

Melatonin

Can interact with blood thinners (e.g. warfarin) at high doses

May lower seizure threshold slightly

Can counteract immunosuppressants (stimulates immune system)

---

🧠 Final Word

This protocol is the start.

If sleep doesn’t return, something else is out of rhythm.

That’s when deeper mapping becomes necessary.
