Ciao everyone! My name is Francesco Mattana and I'm a Italian Chef, Teacher Chef and cookbook author from Sardinia, living in London, UK. I created Our Cooking Journey over 8 years ago because I have a passion for teaching and I wanted to share my knowledge and love of food with others. I've just written my first cookbook EAT LIKE A SARDINIAN, LIVE TO 100 and it's now available to pre-order!
My own cooking journey began 12 years ago as a chef in Italy. I then worked in restaurants in Australia and London before opening a small Sardinian restaurant in Brisbane. In 2018, I turned to teaching full-time and I was the Head Teacher Chef at Jamie Oliver's Cookery School in London.
