Chapter 1112 Recap! Let’s get into it!👏🏼
First up, we have the cover story of Yamato getting a gift from Kinemon (interesting) as well as the title of the chapter: Hard Aspect. In the notes, we see that "aspect" can refer to angles based on planetary locations. 🪐
A takeaway from this chapter was Nasjuro cursing Vegapunk for handing over military power to Bonney, who is only 12 years old. He does make a good point, but also fuck the WG 🤔
Another takeaway is Franky winning a punching battle against Red King. 👊 That didn't take long.
In York's situation, Mars attempts to stop the broadcast by obliterating a part of the main lab where Vegapunk's recording took place. But York explains to him that the Den Den Mushi used to broadcast the recording must be in a secure place. Mars states that he will vaporize the entire lab. However, York also explains that doing so can damage the three areas that have the most important and dangerous items: weapons, power, and explosive cylinders. 🤯
Meanwhile, in Nami's group, it's revealed that Stussy has to be left behind because she is the one who will control the force field to make their escape possible. 🛡 At the same time, Edison becomes compelled to help out the Straw Hats, seeing how lively they can be. He decides that he will help the ship get to safety, and we might find out how in the next chapter. 🤔
Our attention shifts to Luffy and the giant duo. Jupiter has created a vacuum that's preventing them from escaping, but Luffy has a plan. He rushes behind a building, kicks it towards Jupiter, and it is sent flying into his mouth. This causes Luffy to lose gear 5, turning him into an old guy to which the giants ask if he's alright. Luffy says he's just hungry, and they give him their fermented shark ration called Hakarl, 🦈 which powers up Luffy a bit. He launches a Red Roc attack at Mercury, but it ends up damaging Luffy instead 🤔
Back to Nami's group, we see Saturn's legs clawing up the cloud that the group is on.
On the last page, Mars makes it to the room with the Den Den Mushi. He looks up to the sound of gurgling liquid. a la Jennifer Coolidge "What could it be?!" 🤔
