Sometimes, last-minute decisions turn into the best surprises!

You know that feeling when you decide to do something totally last minute, and somehow, it works out? Well, that just happened!

I haven’t entered the Australian Photography Magazine competition for months, but on a whim (and maybe a little late night confidence), I threw in a submission for the monthly March comp - theme "Lines, Shapes and Patterns" a couple hours before closing. And guess what? My photo made the short list! 🎉🎉

The shot is of The Vessel in New York - an insanely cool, honeycomb-looking structure that was once open for visitors to climb. Sadly, you can’t walk up it anymore, but on the day I took this photo, I, along with my daughter Storm, were a couple of the lucky ones who got to explore its maze-like staircases. Talk about perfect timing!
