I’m Dirk of One Handed Guitar. After suffering 4 strokes at the age of 3 and losing use of my left arm I was left with conquering daily task from a one handed perspective. Fast forward decades from the day I suffered my strokes and I’m self sufficient, living a one handed life and embracing the phrase: “Innovation is greater than Limitation”. My biggest One Handed hurtle was guitar. An instrument I desperately desired to learn durning my teenage years. I’ve been playing guitar now for more than two decades and on top of sharing my music with you (available under my artist name: IndieDirk) I desire to share my technique and love of guitar with others who may have suffered a limitation and who possibly think it’s no longer in their cards to play.
