My name is Simon Ager, I live in Bangor in north Wales and earn my living from my website, Omniglot.com - the online encyclopedia of writing systems and languages. I also write and talk about language-related topics on my blogs and podcasts. All the content I produce is freely available. I've always been interested in languages, and studied French and German at school, Chinese and Japanese at university, and have done classes in Welsh and Irish. I've taught myself some other languages as well. I also enjoy reading, singing, playing musical instruments, and writing songs and tunes.
