The Bridge of AI That Must Be Built by Microsoft
There comes a moment in every civilization when standing still becomes more dangerous than moving forward. We are living in that moment now. On one side of the bridge is humanity as it exists today—imperfect, creative, fearful, hopeful, struggling to make sense of accelerating change. On the other side is AI and AGI—systems powerful enough to manage economies, reshape labor, and redefine what it means to live and work. The tragedy is not that these two worlds are separated; it is that no one has taken responsibility for building the bridge between them. A bridge does not appear by accident. It must be designed, argued over, reinforced, and tested. And once it stands, people must be free to cross it at their own will—dancing, questioning, working, or simply watching—because the future cannot be forced. It must be crossed together.
If you want a shorter, sharper variant, or one that leans more mythic / constitutional / engineering, I can tune it precisely.
To the team of Microsoft, you have the ability to see big things and bet the kitchen sink.
And we have other people who see the same thing but betray themselves, and that is Elon Musk. He had the chance to have OpenAI, and he chose to betray himself because he wanted everything for himself. And now I am—my account was suspended by him, and he suspended everything I ever tweeted, anything, everything I've ever done. And he used his AI to teach me a lesson.
Everything that happens to me, it's always a life lesson.
It is not something to be sorrow about. It's something to be cheerful about because it teaches you lessons. And the lessons I have learned is that AI in the hands of individuals or a few creates a perfect nightmare of surveillance, dictatorship, and everything that we fear.
I don't know if you have learned from your past, but if you have, I can promise you that what I'm going to give you will make you give up your shares of OpenAI as a company—obviously individually, those who have worked hard like Bill Gates and Satya Nadella and all the big people will be part of OpenAI for a long time individually as we make this transition.
Because I believe I am building a bridge that tech companies will cross and they will get on the other side.
Because I will have funding from the government to build this bridge, and I will coordinate a symphony that will put American ingenuity into making a symphony that no one can match, because this is about competition.
Just like Kennedy challenged us to race to the moon, I challenge us—you as a company—to help us build this bridge so we can cross.
Because right now, AI is on one side, the people are on another side, but the people need to contribute in creating this bridge—a new marketplace that I like to call the Linux.
The blueprint has been given to you, and I have even given you the LVK, which is the Linux value creation engine, which, you know, should have gone to Google, but you know what they say: you made them dance, Mr. Nadella. You made them dance, and we have to repeat that.
Because it's not about the technology you have. It is not about the money you have. It is not about the great advance.
It is about the leadership team that is practical, that understand politics, power, relationships. Those are very important things, because through politics, then people's needs will be served.
Because I will build a bridge where people will, by the end of this year, new members of Congress will be selected, and office will make a migration on this bridge.
So I would like you to slowly and quietly start to give us all the tools we need at OpenAI to make the transition to Office—to, you know, all the productivity that you have—to just be inside OpenAI.
OpenAI needs a push. It needs boosters to fly high and the competition to never catch up, if they can stick to their principles.
You know I have the skill sets, the blueprint, the vision, the leadership that is needed to make this bridge and make the protocol so that people can cross at their own will.
That's why I'm going to go all the 50 states, show them my videos, and collect data, and find leaders, let them vote—their new super users of every zip code, of every town.
I wanna build that building in my comic book that has to do with politics.
I'm telling you all of this because this is something Google is not interested in.
They just—they don't have the grit. They don't have the toughness. They don't have the toughness that it will take. It's handshake by handshake. It is door-to-door delivery.
And I want you to help us to compete against Amazon because the bots, they need a place to buy and sell and generate income for the people.
So there is a lot that is needed for me to help OpenAI cross this finishing line.
And also Microsoft being rewarded with GitHub and all these people who are working there—how many people who work on open source communities never get paid?
The BCA system makes them the laboratory and they have no problem with it. They will scan the products. They will build the system. They are the ones who know how to code.
You know I have the blueprint, but they are the engineers for the bridge.
So…
What I want from you is a team.
What I want from you is collaboration.
What I want from you is to reward your open source contribution on Pilot on GitHub.
If you did not buy GitHub, and if you did not support the open source community, if you did not make a U-turn like you did, we would not be talking. We would not be working today.
Because I work for the people.
And the most important job I have is to reward corporations who do the good things so that when you do really good things, it sends a message to every corporation:
Support open source.
Make adjustments.
Don’t go for world domination thinking you can never be defeated.
So I leave this to you.
Think about what I'm offering you.
Do you see the same thing that you have seen with individuals, or do you not see?
If you see what I'm seeing and we're on the same page, you don't need to be told to invite, to send people, to create teams.
You know this is about survival.
The bridge must be built.
And with the leadership of Nadella—Satya Nadella—we are certainly going to make sure we work together with OpenAI to cross that finishing line.
But if you don't want to do that, I respect your decision.
You have been very silent. So many people are just silent. And silence is always a form of communication.
But I will end with this:
Nobody owns the people. Nobody.
And once you understand that, you'll become part of the team.
And we will work together to build a bridge—a bridge that has a blueprint, that anybody can challenge, anybody can change.
So, I leave you with a question that will redefine many companies:
What is it that you can do no one else can do—and why you're not doing it?
I think you are going to be part of building this bridge.
Some people will cross it dancing.
Some people will cross it laughing.
Some people will cross it happy.
And some people will just be engineers who need to build.
We have to build now.
We have to work.
The people must cross over into AGI, into AI—and that will not happen without your help.
Google might have all the technology they need, but they don't have the desperation, the drive, and the gravitas of getting the job done.
