Islam is a light, a guide that can bring peace, justice, and tranquility to your lives and communities. However, there is a truth that cannot be ignored: not everyone who speaks of religion brings light with them. If we do not learn to distinguish between those whose hearts are pure and those who carry knowledge without sincerity, we may end up inviting darkness instead of light.
It is vital to recognize those who carry Islam authentically—those whose knowledge is illuminated by sincere hearts and who embody the true values of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him): compassion, mercy, and protection for others. On the other hand, we must also be wary of those who disguise themselves in the cloak of piety but whose actions bring chaos, division, and pain.

Who Are These People of Darkness?
Let’s be clear with a simple checklist. These are the traits of those who carry darkness instead of light:
1. Literal Interpretations and Rigidity: They reject any contextual or deep interpretation of scriptures, clinging to a literal approach without considering present realities.
2. Rejection of Innovations (Bid‘ah): They attack any practice or custom not explicitly found in the early generations of Muslims, even if those practices align with the faith.
3. Exclusivity in Faith (Takfir): They declare other Muslims as disbelievers if they don’t strictly follow their interpretations, causing divisions and conflict within the Islamic community.
4. Contempt for Sufism and Shi‘ism: They reject other Islamic traditions, fostering more divisions and hatred within the global Muslim community.
5. Lack of Purity in Their Hearts: They carry knowledge without compassion or sincerity, using religion as a tool for power or personal gain, not to help others.
6. Spread Conflict and Terror: They bring their rigid ideas wherever they go, sowing fear and division, especially in vulnerable communities.
7. Global Networks of Influence: They often operate through transnational connections, advancing agendas that harm communities rather than benefiting them.
8. Focus on Social Control: They impose strict rules and limit people’s freedoms, particularly targeting women, under the guise of religion.
9. Promise Light but Bring Darkness: They present themselves as messengers of God but only bring division, hatred, and oppression.

What Gift Do These People Bring?
Only darkness!
They claim to bring peace, but in reality, they bring distrust, fear, and disunity. They disguise themselves as light, but their hearts are filled with ambition, selfishness, and a desire for power.

A Message for All
True Islam is a refuge, a source of peace and clarity. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught that a Muslim is someone from whose tongue and hands others are safe. In other words, they do not speak ill of you, nor do they harm you. That is the purity we seek.
Brothers and sisters, do not accept darkness disguised as light. Embrace Islam from pure hearts, clean hands, and tongues that only speak truth. This is the Islam that will bring peace and justice to your communities and to the world!
What legacy will you leave behind? An eternal light or a shad
ow that follows you even after this life? Choose the light.
Finding the Good and Seeking the Truth
Dear Seeker of Truth,
When it comes to understanding Islam and finding the "good guys," the truth is that you must embark on a journey. You must seek it with sincerity, effort, and an open heart. The Quran says:
“And those who strive for Us—We will surely guide them to Our ways. And indeed, Allah is with the doers of good.”
(Surah Al-Ankabut, 29:69)
The key is to strive. You can speak to scholars, watch documentaries, engage in dialogue, and learn from those who embody the values of Islam. But the first step is recognizing those who are not on the path of goodness—those who bring division, hatred, and harm. Once you identify the wrong, the truth becomes easier to find. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
“The best among you are those who learn the Quran and teach it.” (Sahih Bukhari)
The good people are those who dedicate themselves to knowledge, purity of heart, and action. They reflect the Prophet’s teachings:
They are kind, compassionate, and just.
They protect others from their tongues and their hands.
They are humble in seeking the truth and helping others find it.

A Call to Action
If you truly seek the truth, you must search for it with dedication. This is not about passively accepting what others say—it is about finding what God has placed before you. The Quran reminds us:
“Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves.”
(Surah Ar-Ra’d, 13:11)
The journey to truth is not easy, but it is worth it. This is about God, about heaven, and about saving yourself from the hellfire. If you seek it with sincerity, you will find it.
