🌍 The Journey Begins: Building the Islamic Wikipedia of Knowledge

Every journey must begin with a foundation, and for us, the foundation is clear: Medina, the blessed family of the Prophet ﷺ, and the institutions that carry their light into our time. From this sacred root, we begin to build the Islamic Wikipedia — not a collection of random entries, but a living, breathing archive of authenticated knowledge.

This project will honor every teacher, every institution, and every contribution, gathering them into a digital chain of transmission. Just as sadaqatul jariyya continues to reward long after a deed is done, so too will this system preserve the efforts of scholars and seekers for future generations.

The two colleges in the West — Zaytuna College in the United States and Cambridge Muslim College in the UK — will be supported and strengthened by this foundation. Their work will rest upon the contributions of individuals, families, and organizations whose knowledge is verified and whose hearts have been illuminated.

This is not simply about storing information. It is about preserving blessing. It is about ensuring that in the age of AI, Islam’s knowledge is safeguarded, transparent, and pure. The journey begins here — with Medina, with the blessed family, and with the commitment to build an open-source engine of truth for the ummah.

🕌 Beginning the Journey with Medina: The Foundation of the Islamic Wikipedia

Every structure must begin with a foundation. For us, that foundation is Medina — the radiant city of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, the first university of Islam, the first circle of knowledge, and the eternal spring of the blessed family.

The Islamic Wikipedia project will not begin randomly, nor with faceless entries. It will begin where all true knowledge begins: with those who have inherited the light of the Prophet ﷺ through lineage, scholarship, and service. The blessed family are not cut off. Their schools, their institutions, and their students remain the living custodians of Islam.

🌹 The Blessed Custodians of Light

  • @shaykhalyaqoubiShaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi, reviver of traditions in Damascus.

  • @HishamKabbaniShaykh Hisham Kabbani, guiding thousands across America.

  • @ShaykhNinowyShaykh Muhammad Ninowy, a voice for love and knowledge.

  • @habibomarHabib Umar bin Hafiz, founder of Dar al-Mustafa in Tarim, Yemen.

  • @alhabibaliHabib Ali al-Jifri, teacher and speaker whose heart illuminates.

  • @SheikhBabikirSheikh Babikir Ahmed Babikir, spiritual anchor in the UK.

  • @SufiliveNaqshbandi-Haqqani Foundation, global sufi outreach.

  • @oneworldonepageHouse of Wisdom / AI Project, connecting knowledge to the AI age.

  • @shaykhfaisalShaykh Faisal Abdur-Razak, guiding in Canada and beyond.

  • @sh_hamzayusufShaykh Hamza Yusuf, founder of Zaytuna College in California.

  • @ImamZaidShakirImam Zaid Shakir, co-founder of Zaytuna College.

  • @Bin_BayyahShaykh Abdullah bin Bayyah, jurist of our time.

  • @safia_shahidSafia Shahid, voice of women’s scholarship at Cambridge Muslim College.

These names and institutions will form the first entries of the Islamic Wikipedia — each with their biographies, websites, schools, and students. From Medina’s pulse to their living circles today, this is the chain that will support the future.

📖 The Vision
From the blessed family’s institutions, we will collect:

  • Biographies of their teachers.

  • Schools they have built.

  • Books they have authored.

  • Lectures they have delivered.

  • Students they have trained.

This repository will not replace their circles. Rather, it will amplify them, ensuring that Zaytuna College (US) and Cambridge Muslim College (UK) stand not as isolated Western experiments, but as institutions rooted in Medina, in lineage, and in centuries of scholarship.

The Invitation
Every individual and institution is invited. Each teacher, each mosque, each small circle can have a page. Names, websites, books, and contributions will all be preserved. Just as sadaqatul jariyya flows endlessly, so too will these entries give life to generations who come after.

This is the beginning. Medina first. The blessed family first.
From there, the House of Wisdom 2.0 will rise.

🌹 The North Star of Knowledge

In the circles of knowledge, where the Wikipedia of Islam is being born, we remember a hadith that is too often overlooked — yet it holds the key to our revival.

Shaykh Muhammad al-Ninowy, may Allah preserve him, reminds us of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ who said:

“I have left you two things: the Qur’an and my Sunnah… and my Family.”

📜 This is not just a narration. It is a blueprint. Knowledge is not carried only in books or libraries. It is carried in hearts. And the hearts of the Prophet’s ﷺ family have proven, in every century, that the Prophet is not cut off.

🌟 Look across history:

  • Imam Abdul Qadir al-Jilani.

  • Imam Abul Hasan al-Shadhili.

  • Imam Junaid al-Baghdadi.

  • The founders of the great schools of spirituality.

All of them trace their light back to the family of the Prophet ﷺ.

From them came the schools of fiqh, the Tariqa, the circles of remembrance, the sanctuaries of knowledge. In every generation, it was the family of the Prophet ﷺ who carried the flag. They have never shared this role with anyone.

⚖️ And when the end of times arrives, it will again be the household of the Prophet ﷺ who will come to save humanity.

This is why we build here, at the foundation:

  • The Qur’an.

  • The Sunnah.

  • The Family of the Prophet ﷺ.

If we understand this, we will never lose our North Star. The revival of Islam in the AI age, the House of Wisdom 2.0, the Islamic Wikipedia — all of it stands on this timeless truth:

🌹 The Prophet ﷺ is not cut off, and his family will always be the carriers of light.

🎥 Conclusion: The Wikipedia of Islam

The Wikipedia of Islam will not be written in endless text alone. It will be built with clips, videos, and repositories of living knowledge — teachers in their circles, students in their gatherings, hearts illuminated by light.

And so, I conclude here with videos of the Blessed Family — the true inheritors of the Prophet ﷺ, the carriers of light in every century.

🌹 May this be the beginning of our journey.
A journey of preservation.
A journey of building.
A journey of truth.

Inshā’Allah, from these clips, these repositories, and these hearts, the House of Wisdom 2.0 will rise.
