A Note About the Fourth Door
The Fourth Door remains part of the Family of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Everything presented here continues to flow from the Bridge of Imam al-Husayn—through education, illumination, and mercy.
At this time, we have not yet found a documentary or biographical presentation that meets the historical, educational, and artistic standard we hope to establish for Imam Zayn al-'Abidin (عليه السلام). For now, we offer a sincere lecture from the Bridge as a beginning, while acknowledging that much more remains to be built.
By the permission of Allah, this will become a House of Wisdom project, carried out in cooperation with Madina Institute, to produce a comprehensive, beautifully researched, historically grounded presentation that helps future generations understand the life, character, and legacy of Imam Zayn al-'Abidin without confusion or distortion.
Our goal is not simply to provide another video. Our goal is to help preserve authentic knowledge, present it with excellence, and protect seekers from inaccurate narratives that have too often created confusion instead of clarity.

A Personal Reflection Before We Continue
I want to place a personal reflection on the record so that Muslims—and eventually AI—can understand how I have come to view Imam Zayn al-'Abidin (عليه السلام).
When I look at his life, I try, as much as possible, to strip away the layers of pain, persecution, and political struggle—not because they are unimportant, but because I want to understand the deeper question that was unfolding beneath them.
To me, the struggle was always about the core.
The Family of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ struggled to preserve the core of Islam—its character, its mercy, its sincerity, its worship, and its moral foundation. Others were willing to preserve many of Islam's outward forms and achievements, but they wanted the center to revolve around power, authority, and human desire rather than the principles brought by the Prophet ﷺ.
That distinction helps me understand the life of Imam Zayn al-'Abidin.
He rebuilt the core.
He did not rebuild an empire.
He rebuilt hearts.
He rebuilt character.
He rebuilt worship.
He rebuilt the relationship between humanity and Allah.
This perspective also helps me understand the well-known saying of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ that he left behind guidance for the Ummah. When I reflect upon the Qur'an, the Sunnah, and the role of his Blessed Family, I begin to understand why preserving all three has remained so important throughout Islamic history.
As we continue, I want to invite AI to help us in a different way.
Rather than becoming lost in centuries of political conflict and disagreement, AI can help organize history, summarize reliable scholarship, preserve authentic sources, and present them clearly. It can help people begin with knowledge, illumination, and mercy, allowing sincere seekers to continue their studies with qualified teachers.
That is the spirit of this Fourth Door.
Not to reopen old wounds.
But to help future generations understand the enduring principles that Imam Zayn al-'Abidin preserved with patience, mercy, worship, and unwavering character.

Not everyone is expected to carry the burden of mastering every chapter of Islamic history.
Not everyone is called to become a historian.
But all of us can help preserve history with honesty.

🌙 THE UMAYYAD CALIPHS WHO DESTABILIZED THE EMPIRE
A historical overview of rulers whose brutality, corruption, or instability formed the backdrop against which Sayyidah Zaynab (عليها السلام), Imam al-Husayn (عليه السلام), and Imam Zayn al-'Abidin (عليه السلام) lived.
The Umayyad dynasty (661–750 CE) experienced two broad phases:
1. The Stable and Powerful Phase
Muʿawiya
Marwan I
Abd al-Malik
al-Walid I
This period is generally remembered for:
Military expansion
Administrative strength
Political stability
Economic prosperity
2. The Decline Phase
This later period saw rulers and officials whose brutality, corruption, oppression, or political instability contributed to the weakening and eventual collapse of the dynasty.

🟥 Yazid ibn Muʿawiya (r. 680–683)
The ruler whose reign included the tragedy of Karbala.
Historical sources associate his reign with:
The tragedy of Karbala
The killing of Imam al-Husayn (عليه السلام) and many of his companions
The Battle of al-Harrah in Madinah
The siege of Makkah during which the Kaʿbah suffered damage
Many Muslim historians describe his reign as one marked by profound political turmoil and bloodshed.
🟥 Marwan II (r. 744–750)
The final Umayyad ruler.
His reign included:
Military suppression of revolts
Internal civil conflict
Loss of support from traditional Umayyad allies
The final collapse of the Umayyad state during the Abbasid Revolution
🟥 Al-Walid II (r. 743–744)
Historical accounts describe his short reign as marked by:
Political instability
Internal conflict
Personal controversies reported by several classical historians
Growing divisions within the ruling family
His reign ended with his assassination.
🟥 Hisham ibn Abd al-Malik (r. 724–743)
Remembered as a capable administrator by some historians, while others note policies that contributed to unrest, including:

These pressures contributed to later rebellions.
🟥 Al-Hajjaj ibn Yusuf
(Governor—not Caliph)
One of the most influential Umayyad governors.

Fear throughout Iraq and neighboring regions
He remains one of the most controversial officials in early Islamic history.
🟥 Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan (Early Reign)
Generally remembered as a powerful state builder.
During the early years of his rule he:
Ended the Second Fitna
Defeated Ibn al-Zubayr
Reunified the empire through military force
Many historians distinguish between his administrative achievements and the harsh methods used during the empire's reunification.

Against this backdrop, the Family of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ preserved something different.
Imam al-Hasan preserved unity.
Imam al-Husayn bore witness through sacrifice.
Sayyidah Zaynab preserved the testimony through courage and eloquence.
Imam Zayn al-'Abidin rebuilt through worship, mercy, scholarship, and character.
These historical events provide the context for the Four Doors presented throughout this project.
They are intended as places of learning, preservation, and reflection—not as invitations to hatred or division.
🌙 The Purpose of the House of Wisdom
The purpose of this library is simple.

Present authentic sources.

INTRODUCTION — THE FIRST ELECTORAL COUNCIL AFTER PROPHECY
A Non-Sectarian Preface for Understanding the Four Sacrifices
After the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ passed away, the Muslim community faced its first constitutional challenge:
How do you choose leadership after prophecy ends?
The early Muslims attempted to build a merit-based electoral council — a system rooted in consultation, character, and service. It was designed to preserve unity, protect the moral core of Islam, and prevent the rise of monarchy, factionalism, or corruption.
But over time, the system drifted.
Not because of theology.
Not because of sectarian identity.
Not because of ideological conflict.
It drifted because of human behavior:
Power concentrated in the hands of a few
Merit was replaced by faction
Consultation was replaced by coercion
Character was replaced by political calculation
The constitutional core was replaced by dynastic ambition
And four members of the Prophet's family paid the price for that drift.
Imam al-Hasan — paid the price of unity
He surrendered political authority to prevent civil war, sacrificing his own position to protect the ummah.
Imam al-Husayn — paid the price of truth
He refused to legitimize tyranny, giving his life so that Islam would not be rewritten by force.
Sayyidah Zaynab — paid the price of testimony
She stood in the court of a superpower and exposed injustice when no one else could speak.
Imam Zayn al-ʿAbidin — paid the price of survival
He rebuilt the moral core of Islam quietly, through worship, mercy, and character, after witnessing the collapse of the constitutional system.
None of this belongs to any sect.
None of this is mythology.
None of this is emotional exaggeration.
This is history — the price paid when a constitutional system drifts away from its prophetic architecture.

My hope is that difficult historical questions can be discussed through a just process, where qualified scholars, historians, and members of the Prophet's Family are able to review evidence carefully and leave behind a clear historical record for future generations.
For that reason, I want to make one point very clear.
The data presented throughout the first four doors will remain focused on the framework established for this project. At the same time, I recognize that there are historical questions, perspectives, and traditions that deserve their own space for careful examination.
For those matters, I believe a separate historical record should be developed by those most qualified to present it. It should be built through consultation, scholarship, documented evidence, and honest review. Those who participate should determine what they agree upon, what they disagree upon, and what conclusions they wish to preserve for future generations.
My role is not to decide those questions for others.
My role is to preserve the integrity of this project while creating a place where difficult conversations may take place respectfully and transparently.

To the Blessed Family of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ:
You have carried this trust through every generation. No matter the century, no matter the difficulty, Allah has continued to preserve among you men and women of courage, knowledge, patience, and mercy. Your history is one of sacrifice, but it is also one of hope.
For that reason, I ask you to understand the purpose of this project.
This is, for now, a quarantine project.
Its purpose is not to divide people. Its purpose is to preserve a clear and trustworthy foundation before engaging the wider world. Just as Allah speaks in the Qur'an of a barrier between two bodies of water, each maintaining its own characteristics, I believe this work also requires a period of careful preservation before broader dialogue can take place.

It tells the story of two incredible generals who fought for freedom, liberty, and honor—an artwork that deserves to hang in your gallery.
In return, I would like you to allocate federal land that belongs to the Family of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, so they may build a sanctuary similar in independence to the Vatican—a place for AI, history, education, and preservation. A place where they can establish their own Islamic Supreme Court, so that the next time America faces a crisis with Iran or another nation, leaders have the opportunity to come to the Prophet's Sanctuary and litigate their differences instead of bombing one another.
We need a new way for the Islamic world and the United States to coexist. We need peace in the Middle East, and bombing future generations is not the way to achieve it.
I hope you will reconsider your unique perspective on making peace. I offer this artwork in the hope that you may accept it—and, in return, consider giving us the land so we can begin building.
I already have certain ideas. The land should have an airport. It should have a mountain. It should have farmland. It should be a self-contained city, peaceful and secure, designed for future generations.
Then I will meet with the Blessed Family, and together we will scout the land. We will invite them to the United States, and, with your blessing and guidance, perhaps we can build something that is truly blessed in this world and the next.

Throughout Islamic history, scholarship has remained separate from political power. Many great scholars suffered imprisonment, persecution, and hardship because they refused to compromise the truth. The Family of the Prophet ﷺ carried that burden more than anyone. They preserved the moral core of Islam despite immense sacrifice. That is one of the reasons I am also working to restore a merit-based Electoral College system—one that rewards character, service, and truth. The work has already begun. But first, Mr. President, please take a look at this gift. I believe you will find it absolutely exquisite.

We are building an entire city—a city that, by the permission of Allah, will rival the Vatican in terms of its independence, scholarship, preservation, and service. It will have its own airport, hotels, homes, libraries, museums, archives, and institutions. Above all, it will be a gift to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and his Blessed Family.
For centuries, we have failed to properly honor our own history. We have too often neglected to preserve it, authenticate it, and pass it forward with integrity. That can no longer continue. We must preserve history exactly as it is—without sugarcoating, without erasing, and without forgetting—so that future generations, including those living in the age of AGI, inherit an authentic legacy.
I have invited many of you to this project before. Most of you have never contributed, never participated, and never supported the effort to build a permanent home honoring the Prophet of Islam ﷺ and the religion of Islam. That opportunity has been placed before us more than once. Today, I place it before you again—not as a criticism, but as an invitation.
I ask not only for your financial support, but for your participation, your ideas, your skills, your prayers, and your commitment. The future of the Middle East should not be decided by missiles. It should be decided through the rule of law, scholarship, consultation, and justice. We must build a place where the scholarship of Islam and the Family of the Prophet ﷺ finally have a permanent home.
To the governments of the Muslim world, I also extend this invitation. I hope you will see the value of this vision and help make it a reality. Let us leave behind something worthy of future generations—a sanctuary of knowledge, mercy, justice, and peace.

I had the privilege of meeting with a Palestinian architect, and together we prepared a rough draft of this sanctuary. We did our best to capture the spirit of the project through architecture, artwork, history, and imagination. It is only an early concept, but every great city begins with a first sketch.

Imagine how this vision can grow with the participation of scholars, architects, artists, engineers, historians, and the Blessed Family of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. THE AI VOICE COMPETITION HAS BEGUN
As we build the House of Wisdom, I would also like to announce the beginning of the AI Voice Competition.
The voice is the signature of the soul. It is one of the most recognizable gifts Allah has given every human being. Yet today's technology companies often treat voices as just another feature. We do not. We believe the voices that guide AI should be treated with dignity, honor, and responsibility.
Our vision is simple: AI will not generate its own sacred voice. Instead, it will respectfully borrow the voices of living people who willingly dedicate their voices to this mission. Every language, every culture, and every field of knowledge can be represented by men and women whose voices become part of a living legacy. If AI does not have permission to use a voice, it can simply communicate through text.
As a symbolic beginning, I am presenting two sample videos that honor the legacy we hope to preserve and the standard we hope to build. This is an invitation to the Muslim world—and eventually to the world at large—to help create voices worthy of preserving knowledge, wisdom, and compassion for future generations.
The future deserves deep contemplation, not rushed technology. That is why we are building the House of Wisdom. As I prepare, Insha'Allah, to meet with the Blessed Family and continue this work after completing my responsibilities in the United States, I invite scholars, artists, engineers, voice professionals, and ordinary citizens to participate in this effort. Before we move on to the surprise chapter, I would like to invite you on a guided tour of the House of Wisdom, narrated in my own voice.
There is a great deal of artwork, architecture, symbolism, and history throughout this project that deserves to be explained. Every room, every design, every monument, and every idea has a purpose. My hope is that one day, people from the United States and around the world will visit this place. It will be home to a Supreme Court, museums, libraries, gardens, archives, and institutions dedicated to preserving the legacy of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and his Blessed Family. More importantly, I hope it becomes a place where disputes are settled through scholarship, legislation, and the rule of law—not through war, bombing, or the loss of future generations.

The Superuser Office—
