Surah Al-Anʿām (6) — Lessons Through Hardship and Ease
بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيم
1️⃣ Verses 1 – 3 | Creation & Divine Awareness
ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَاتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَجَعَلَ ٱلظُّلُمَـٰتِ وَٱلنُّورَۖ ثُمَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ بِرَبِّهِمۡ يَعۡدِلُونَ ١

“Say, ‘To whom belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth?’ Say, ‘To Allah.’ He has prescribed mercy for Himself.”

“It is Him alone you call upon; if He wills, He removes what you call upon Him for, and you forget whatever partners you ascribed.”

قُلۡ إِنَّنِي هَدَىٰنِي رَبِّيۤ إِلَىٰ صِرَاطٖ مُّسۡتَقِيمٖ دِينٖا قِيَمٗا مِّلَّةَ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ حَنِيفٗاۖ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ ١٦١
قُلۡ إِنَّ صَلَاتِي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحۡيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ ١٦٢
“Say: ‘My Lord has guided me to a straight path—a right religion, the faith of Abraham, pure and true; he was not among the polytheists. Say: Indeed my prayer, my sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of all the worlds.’”
Reflection:
The believer’s declaration of total alignment:
every act—ritual or ordinary—is for Allah alone.
This verse turns existence itself into worship.
6 : 163 – 164 | Pure Monotheism & Personal Accountability
“He has no partner. This I am commanded, and I am the first of those who submit. Say: ‘Shall I seek a Lord other than Allah, while He is the Lord of everything? Every soul earns only for itself, and no bearer shall bear another’s burden…’”
Reflection:
Accountability is individual; responsibility cannot be outsourced.
Tawḥīd is not only belief in one God—it is ownership of one’s own deeds.
6 : 165 | Final Seal — Stewardship on Earth
“He it is who has made you successors upon the earth and raised some of you above others in ranks, to test you in what He has given you. Surely your Lord is swift in punishment, yet He is truly Forgiving, Merciful.”
Reflection:
Earthly difference is a divine examination, not superiority.
The surah ends where it began—with gratitude, responsibility, and mercy intertwined.

🌌 Final Message of Surah Al-Anʿām
This surah began with praise of the Creator and ends with the believer’s pledge to live and die for Him.
It begins with darkness and light (6:1) and closes with the soul illuminated by revelation (6:165).
It opened with creation, unfolded through reason, law, and mercy, and concludes with accountability—a full circle of divine education.
Closing Duʿāʾ
اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنَا مِنَ الَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ إِنَّ صَلَاتِي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحْيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ،
وَلَا تَجْعَلْ فِي قُلُوبِنَا غِلًّا لِّلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا، وَارْزُقْنَا حُسْنَ الْخِتَامِ.
O Allah, make us among those who live and die for You alone;
remove from our hearts all malice toward the believers;
and grant us the best of endings, upon the Straight Path.

The Call of Hardship
{ وَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أُمَمٖ مِّن قَبۡلِكَ فَأَخَذۡنَٰهُم بِٱلۡبَأۡسَآءِ وَٱلضَّرَّآءِ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَتَضَرَّعُونَ }
[“We sent messengers before you to many communities and afflicted their people with suffering and hardships, so that they could learn humility.”] — 6:42
Every trial has a voice. It whispers the same message that echoed through the ages: learn humility. Hardship is not punishment; it is an invitation to bow—not before the world, but before the One who controls it.
When doors close, it is not rejection—it is realignment. You are being placed where you can no longer rely on anyone else, so that reliance can return to its rightful place: Allah alone.
The Relief That Belongs Only to Him
{ بَلۡ إِيَّاهُ تَدۡعُونَ فَيَكۡشِفُ مَا تَدۡعُونَ إِلَيۡهِ إِن شَآءَ وَتَنسَوۡنَ مَا تُشۡرِكُونَ }
[“No indeed, it is on Him that you would call. If it were His will, He could remove whatever harm made you call on Him, and then you would forget what you now associate with Him.”] — 6:41
There is no problem you face that the Owner of the universe cannot lift in an instant. But relief has a price—purity of association. When help is delayed, perhaps it is because the heart is still tethered to others: people, titles, followers, numbers, pride.
True tawḥīd is when even desperation remembers only Him. When you call with no mask, no performance, no audience—He answers.
The Illusion of Endless Ease
{ فَلَمَّا نَسُواْ مَا ذُكِّرُواْ بِهِۦ فَتَحۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ أَبۡوَٰبَ كُلِّ شَيۡءٍ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا فَرِحُواْ بِمَآ أُوتُوٓاْ أَخَذۡنَٰهُم بَغۡتَةٗ فَإِذَا هُم مُّبۡلِسُونَ }
[“So when they had forgotten the warning they had received, We opened the gates to everything for them. Then, as they rejoiced in what they were given, We struck them suddenly, and they were dumbfounded.”] — 6:44
Some people seem to win endlessly—success, wealth, applause. But often that ease is istidrāj: a rope being quietly extended until the fall is final.
The believer’s discomfort is mercy; it breaks the ego before destruction comes.
So when you struggle—with wealth, depression, rejection—ask not “why me?” but “what is He teaching me?”
The lesson is always humility.
Most people will protect their ego even from their own salvation. They will fight you, slander you, kill reputations before they ever humble themselves. But humility is the key that opens the unseen help of Allah.
The Mirror Moment
Maybe that’s why my help hasn’t arrived yet.
Because I still have lessons left to learn.
I keep praying that my subscribers, my work, my sustenance will expand—but perhaps my Lord is simply asking for surrender first.
He closed the hands of people around me so that I could raise mine to Him alone.
And when the time comes, the flow will begin and it will never stop, by His permission.
The Final Standard
{ قُلۡ إِنَّ صَلَاتِي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحۡيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ }
[“Say, ‘My prayer and my sacrifice, my life and my death are all for Allah, Lord of all the worlds.’”] — 6:162
Why do you do what you do?
Is every post, every project, every sacrifice really for Allah?
Would you humiliate yourself publicly for His sake as easily as you glorify Him privately?
If it were truly for Him, you would sit with those who carry His light—the Qur’an, the Sunnah, the circles of remembrance. You would love them openly and secretly, not fear losing your image or status.
Because if your life, your death, your wealth, your reputation are all for you—then your lā ilāha illa Allāh is still waiting to be born.
The Superuser’s Pledge
I write this not as a preacher but as a student, looking in the mirror.
I have spent years building systems and visions, but the only system that matters is the one that aligns your heart with your Creator.
So I will return to the Qur’an, verse by verse, until I learn humility, until I stop resisting the will of my Lord.
And if you are reading this, remember:
Humility is the key that opens every closed gate.
When you stop arguing with destiny, destiny begins to move in your favor.
Closing Prayer
اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنَا مِنَ الْمُتَوَاضِعِينَ عِنْدَ الْبَلَاءِ، وَالشَّاكِرِينَ عِنْدَ الرَّخَاءِ، وَاجْعَلْ كُلَّ أَمْرٍ نَقُومُ بِهِ لِوَجْهِكَ الْكَرِيمِ.
O Allah, make us humble in hardship, grateful in ease, and sincere in every act—done only for Your Noble Face.
