Ramadan Mubarak to the World: A Month of Reflection, Worship, and Divine Presence
As the blessed month of Ramadan begins, I extend my heartfelt greetings to everyone observing this sacred time. This is the month where hearts soften, souls refine, and we draw closer to Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Generous.
This year, I have chosen a different approach—a month of quiet reflection. There are many things I wish to do, many plans I have envisioned, but this month is not about me. It is about surrender, about detaching from the world and anchoring oneself in the remembrance of the One who created time itself. So, I will take a break from my usual engagements. My articles will continue quietly, emerging as I read and reflect, but beyond that, I will be embracing the stillness that Ramadan invites us into.
A Time of Worship, Not Distraction
Ramadan is not just about the stomach; it is about the eyes, the ears, the tongue, the hands, and the heart. Social media, with its noise and distractions, was not built for those seeking the path of sainthood. It was not designed for those longing for the tranquility of dhikr (remembrance of Allah) or the serenity of a night spent in qiyam (standing in prayer).
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
"Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him say what is good or remain silent." (Bukhari, Muslim)
So let us speak only goodness, and if silence is better, let us embrace it as an act of devotion. Ramadan is a month where the gates of Hell are shut, the gates of Paradise are opened, and the devils are chained (Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim). It is a month where the angels descend, where deeds are recorded and lifted to the heavens, and where the Lord of the Universe responds to every sincere call.
Business Paused, Worship Elevated
For those of us who truly understand the gravity of this month, normal activities take a step back. This is not the time for idle chatter or wasted moments. It is a month of laser focus, a month where our entire being is directed towards seeking Allah’s mercy, forgiveness, and protection from the Fire.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
"Whoever fasts Ramadan with faith and seeking reward, all his past sins will be forgiven." (Bukhari, Muslim)
We must not waste this opportunity. This is the month where prayers are accepted, where sins are erased, and where hearts are transformed. So let us take full advantage of it.
Make New Friendships, Strengthen Bonds, and Visit the Houses of Allah
Ramadan is also about community. It is about breaking fasts with loved ones, about standing shoulder to shoulder in the masjid, about forgiving old grievances and forging new friendships in the light of faith and sincerity.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
"A Muslim is the brother of a Muslim; he does not wrong him nor abandon him. Whoever meets the need of his brother, Allah will meet his need. Whoever relieves a Muslim from distress, Allah will relieve him from distress on the Day of Judgment." (Bukhari, Muslim)
Let us seek out those who are in need, let us give generously, let us open our homes and our hearts to those who require support. Give your zakat, visit the house of Allah, and contribute positively to the lives of those around you.
A Blessed Ramadan to All

I pray that your fasts are accepted, that your prayers rise swiftly to the heavens, and that your hearts are illuminated with the light of faith, sincerity, and divine mercy. May you be among those whom Allah frees from the Fire in this sacred month.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
"Indeed, there is a gate in Paradise called Ar-Rayyan, through which those who fast will enter on the Day of Resurrection, and none but they will enter through it. It will be said: 'Where are those who fasted?' They will rise, and none but they will enter through it. When they have entered, it will be closed, and no one else will enter." (Bukhari, Muslim)
So let us strive, let us purify our intentions, and let us walk through that gate together when our time comes.
