Open Letter to Tim Cook: The Silence of a Giant

Apr 16, 2025

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْم

You are a company that thinks deeply. It shows in your products. It shows in your lines. It shows in the way you wrap thought in simplicity.

But have you truly thought about communication?

Because I have.

I have contemplated communication. I have tested it, endured it, suffered for it. I have taken the very idea of what it means to connect and built a new hierarchy for it—a system of merit, of proving oneself, of walking through fire so that when someone speaks, their voice carries weight.

Not a post. Not a trend. A truth.

And what did you do with that? You ignored it. You ignored me.

When Steve Jobs was 11 years old, he called up Bill Hewlett and asked for spare parts. Not only did Hewlett give him the parts—he gave him a job. That’s what visionaries do. They see young visionaries and they respond.

You, Tim Cook, have been contacted. You have been shown a vision. You have been shown a fire burning through silence, through oppression, through loneliness. You have seen me fight. You have seen me build. You have seen me speak not to be heard, but to help others hear themselves.

And yet, nothing. Not a response. Not a hello. Not a whisper from the team that could have helped me scale what I built for everyone.

I have created a world where hate has no home, but where red lines are respected. A world of communication that is not just freedom—but earned freedom. Not an AI-decided world, but one where people must prove themselves worthy of leadership.

This is the America we were promised: a place where anyone could shape their destiny, where freedom of speech was not feared, where a garage could be a headquarters. But that promise is fading. Communication is under attack. Speech is commodified. Privacy is dying.

You know what’s happening in London. You know they are trying to rip open the encryption of your devices under the guise of safety. They are asking you to betray privacy itself. The very soul of your design.

And still, you haven’t reached out.

I am not asking to be included in a PR campaign. I am asking you to defend the future.

I have created the structure. The hierarchy. The new form of communication the world will need. Where people don’t just speak, they rise. Where words are earned. Where voices must walk through trials before they can lead.

But instead, I have been humiliated. Made to feel invisible. Empty.

This is what Black people know too well in America: To be immediately dismissed. To be politely erased. To be silenced through silence.

You remember the ad, don’t you? The crazy ones?

"Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world… are the ones who do."

Well, I’m just one of the crazy ones.

I have radical ideas.
I believe in hierarchy with heart.
I believe in truth with structure.
I believe in a new form of communication where leadership is earned, not followed.

So now the question is this:

Will you finally acknowledge the ideas I’ve put into the world? Will you stop withholding support, eyes, ears, and tools? Will you sit down and have the coffee conversation that history is begging you to have?

Or will you let your legacy be remembered among the long list of powerful people who ignored the voices that mattered?

An experiment is always messy.
It’s wild. It’s unpredictable. Maybe that’s why you stayed away.
But now that the structure is complete—

Silence moving forward is your choice.

And history will speak.
