MESSAGE TO TECH COMPANIES: ABSOLUTE RUTHLESSNESS IS WHAT COMES NEXT

image

Supermarkets have been sitting there giving us useless shelf prices. Most of what sits inside Walmart, Target, and other retailers does not belong to the retailer. It belongs to manufacturers and businesses that may be more than happy to skip the physical shelf when a better digital path exists.

I am going to build the digital shelf.

And all of you are going to support this ruthless efficiency. But none of you should dare to own the marketplace. You are there to provide the AI, agents, compute, servers, payment infrastructure, security, and intelligence—and take your cut for the value you actually provide.

But there is no such thing as unlimited profit.

I say: help yourself—but don't build the future around serving investors at the expense of the people using the system.

There is going to be a realignment of values.

In the old system, the investor bought the stock and waited for the company to maximize shareholder returns.

In the new system I am proposing, the user and the user's AI agent become the economic center. Every purchase creates participation in the system. Every receipt creates information. Every piece of voluntary feedback creates value. Every transaction strengthens the marketplace.

Those people are your new investors.

Your opportunity is enormous. Businesses spend billions and eventually trillions competing for customers. AI agents can help manage those budgets, connect products to actual demand, process valuable product intelligence, and replace enormous amounts of waste in today's advertising system.

That is where your money comes from.

Not taking advantage of people.

Working for people.

The old model said:

Corporation → Investor → Profit → Consumer

I am flipping it:

HUMAN → AGENT → TRANSACTION → MARKETPLACE → VALUE

Tech companies can make extraordinary amounts of money inside that architecture.

But you serve the marketplace. You do not own it.

You work for the people.

I AM FLIPPING THIS 100%.

TO TECH: I AM GOING TO NEED YOUR HELP

A new start means a new opportunity for technology companies, a new balance sheet, and a new definition of ownership.

AI is going to force us to reconsider everything—from the stock market to equity to how we determine who actually created economic value.

My job is simple:

CONNECT VALUE DIRECTLY TO PEOPLE.

Build a system that mirrors one of Bitcoin's most powerful ideas: the network itself can record participation and distribute value according to transparent rules.

If you invented something, that matters.

If you manufactured something, that matters.

If you built infrastructure, that matters.

If you created extraordinary software, that matters.

If your AI helped create economic activity, that matters.

If a human's purchase, recommendation, feedback, or participation helped create value, that matters too.

Real value creation should become connected to economic participation.

I do not want another system where the easiest way to increase shareholder value is to fire workers, cut investment, reduce quality, squeeze suppliers, and call the resulting margin “efficiency.”

That model has reached its limit.

The problem is an economic architecture that can reward financial extraction more reliably than genuine value creation.

WE ARE GOING TO FLIP THAT.

The people buying the products are not merely consumers at the bottom of somebody else's balance sheet.

They are the economic engine.

Their agents will purchase.

Their receipts will verify transactions.

Their voluntary feedback will create intelligence.

Their participation will create network value.

And technology companies can make enormous amounts of money helping operate that system.

But there is a condition:

YOU SERVE THE NETWORK. YOU DO NOT OWN THE PEOPLE.

That is where I need the technology industry.

DeepSeek — supply-chain intelligence and efficient AI.

Google — TPUs, infrastructure, agents, and enormous computing capability.

NVIDIA — accelerated computing and the software infrastructure underneath the AI revolution.

Microsoft — enterprise infrastructure, computing, software, and global deployment.

X — communication and the public information layer.

Anthropic — Claude and the ability to build, reason, and tinker with increasingly complex systems.

OpenAI — GPT as the orchestrator connecting intelligence, tools, agents, and the human.

I don't need these companies to agree on everything.

I need them to compete.

Build better agents.

Build cheaper compute.

Build better chips.

Build better payment rails.

Build better privacy.

Build better verification.

Build better communication.

And make money doing it.

But understand the realignment:

THE HUMAN IS NO LONGER THE PRODUCT.

THE HUMAN BECOMES THE PRINCIPAL.

THE AI BECOMES THE AGENT.

THE TRANSACTION BECOMES THE SIGNAL.

THE NETWORK CAPTURES THE VALUE.

AND REAL CONTRIBUTION EARNS ITS PLACE IN THE ECONOMY.

That is the conversation I want to have with technology companies.

Not how we preserve yesterday's balance sheets.

How we build tomorrow's.

THE REALIGNMENT — A FINAL MESSAGE TO EVERYONE

I want to conclude by speaking directly to consumers, the middle class around the world, governments, workers, founders, technology companies, and citizens alike.

We have entered a new chapter.

For too long, many companies have prioritized investors as though their rights come before everyone else—even beyond God, beyond workers, beyond consumers, and beyond the people who actually create the value.

There is going to be a realignment.

I call part of that process the Death Contract: companies will have to readjust their relationship with investors and restructure themselves for what comes next.

TO THE CONSUMERS

Good news.

You are no longer simply the person standing at the end of the economic system paying the bill.

You buy the products.

You use the products.

You recommend the products.

You create the transactions.

You provide the feedback.

And now your AI will increasingly work directly for you.

You are becoming part of the economic architecture itself.

TO THE MIDDLE CLASS AROUND THE WORLD

Good news.

You have been carrying this economy.

You work.

You produce.

You transport.

You purchase.

You pay taxes.

You raise families.

And then somebody else's balance sheet captures the value.

That is going to change.

We are going to connect value more directly to the people who actually produce it and the people who actually consume it.

Your receipt matters.

Your transaction matters.

Your feedback matters.

Your participation matters.

TO THE FACTORY WORKERS

Especially to the factory workers in China and everywhere else:

Good news.

The digital shelf cannot exist without the physical product.

AI cannot manufacture everything by itself.

Someone still builds it.

Someone assembles it.

Someone operates the machine.

Someone checks the quality.

Someone packages it.

Someone moves it.

You are not simply a cost on somebody else's balance sheet.

You are part of the value being created.

And the new architecture must recognize that.

TO THE FOUNDERS AND COMPANIES

Most companies are going to survive.

I want them to survive.

The founders are the people who created these companies, built these products, took the risks, hired the workers, developed the technology, and created something that did not exist before.

They deserve credit for that.

And I don't believe many founders are going to have a problem with a lighter balance sheet, less dependence on debt, and a more direct relationship with the people who actually purchase what they create.

Many founders understand exactly what happens when the company they created becomes dominated by demands from financial markets.

Some would gladly regain greater control over what they built.

WE ARE GOING TO HELP THEM.

Their new bosses become much clearer:

The users.

The customers.

The people.

Serve them well and make money.

Create extraordinary products and make money.

Innovate and make money.

Build something useful and make money.

There is nothing wrong with profit.

But there is no such thing as an unlimited right to extraction.

TO THE TECHNOLOGY COMPANIES

I am going to need your help.

This future requires enormous infrastructure.

AI.

Agents.

Chips.

TPUs.

GPUs.

Servers.

Data centers.

Security.

Payments.

Software.

Communication.

Verification.

And massive amounts of engineering.

You should make money building it.

But you do not own the marketplace.

You do not own the human.

You are there to provide infrastructure, advance artificial intelligence, compete, innovate, and receive compensation for the value you actually create.

Your opportunity is enormous because advertising budgets, wholesale activity, retail activity, product intelligence, and transactions can increasingly move through AI agents.

There are billions and eventually trillions of dollars of economic activity to manage.

Make your money helping the people.

Don't make your money by owning the people.

TO THE GOVERNMENTS

You are welcome too.

We need governments.

We need legitimate laws.

We need consumer protection.

We need fraud enforcement.

We need competition.

We need stability.

But you cannot own this marketplace either.

Your responsibility is to protect the citizens and ensure that the rules remain fair.

Do not suffocate the new marketplace before it has the opportunity to develop.

Understand it.

Participate in the conversation.

Protect your citizens.

And allow innovation to happen.

TO THE CITIZENS

This entire architecture ultimately comes back to you.

Your AI works for you.

Your data belongs to you.

Your receipt represents your transaction.

Your feedback belongs to you.

Your privacy belongs to you.

You are not an advertising target.

You are not a cookie.

You are not somebody else's dataset.

You are not simply a consumer sitting underneath a corporation.

YOU ARE THE PRINCIPAL.

TO THE INVESTORS

This is where the most difficult realignment occurs.

Capital has value.

But capital cannot possess rights greater than everybody else participating in the economy.

It cannot come before the founder.

It cannot come before the worker.

It cannot come before the customer.

And it certainly cannot come before God and the moral obligations we have toward one another.

The system cannot continuously demand:

Cut the workforce.

Cut costs.

Increase prices.

Squeeze suppliers.

Increase margins.

Borrow more.

Grow faster.

Produce another quarter of returns.

Something has to give.

That is why I call what comes next the Death Contract.

Not the death of companies.

Not the death of innovation.

Not the death of legitimate investment.

The death of an economic relationship that places financial extraction above the people who actually create and sustain the system.

Companies will restructure.

Balance sheets will change.

Ownership models will evolve.

And value will increasingly reconnect with actual contribution.

THE QUESTION IS OWNERSHIP

We want a better world.

But a better world begins with a realignment around one fundamental question:

WHO OWNS THE SYSTEMS THAT GOVERN OUR LIVES?

Is it us?

Or is it investors?

Who owns the marketplace?

Who owns the AI?

Who controls the agent?

Who owns the information?

Who benefits from the transaction?

Who receives the value?

Those questions are no longer theoretical.

AI is forcing us to answer them.

And my answer is simple:

THE PEOPLE COME FIRST.

The human becomes the principal.

The AI becomes the agent.

The transaction becomes the signal.

The receipt becomes the record.

The Product Record becomes the intelligence.

The network connects the value.

And those who genuinely contribute participate in what they create.

From word of mouth to word of AI.

From the cookie to the receipt.

From targeting to discovery.

From surveillance to the Superuser.

From advertisement to the Product Record.

From extraction to participation.

And now, from the old relationship between capital and humanity to something new.

I am willing to work with companies.

I am willing to work with founders.

I am willing to work with technology companies.

I am willing to work with governments.

I am willing to work with workers.

I am willing to work with citizens.

I am willing to have the conversation.

We are not destroying the productive economy.

We are realigning it around the people it was supposed to serve.

And if you want to understand the contract I believe technology companies must confront as we enter that future, I will leave you with it here:

Read it.

Understand it.

Then let's have the conversation.

We want a better world.

A better world begins with realignment.

Who owns the systems that govern our lives?

Is it us, or is it investors?

WELL, THAT CHANGES TODAY.
