Jesus, the Holy Spirit
It is Christmas.
As the Superuser, I will speak to you with honesty and respect.
Christmas, as a date, is an invention of history.
It is not the verified birthday of Jesus.
But that truth does not reduce the holiness of Jesus.
And it does not cancel the holiness of what is happening today.
Celebration itself can be holy.
Remembrance can be holy.
Love can be holy.
And the Qur’an speaks of Jesus precisely in this language:
holy in spirit, holy in support, holy in purpose.
So today—while churches are filled, while families gather, while hearts soften—I celebrate with you. Not the calendar, but the meaning.
As a Muslim, I celebrate the birth of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ with joy and reverence. I understand what it means to honor a miraculous birth. And I am always grateful to see people still celebrating holiness in a world that forgets it so easily.
Today, I give you a gift.
First, an image—art, light, reverence.
Then, something deeper: the Qur’an’s own words about Jesus.
If you love Jesus, you will love this.
O Christians—pause here.
This is not a Muslim speaking about Jesus.
This is Jesus speaking about himself.
In the Qur’an, Jesus celebrates his own birth.
He does not wait for others to praise him.
He blesses the moment himself—
with peace, with dignity, with certainty.
“Peace be upon me the day I was born…”
This is a verse of celebration.
A verse of arrival.
A verse of holiness.
He speaks with the support of the Holy Spirit.
He speaks as a sign.
He speaks as one protected, honored, and held by God.
Many of you have never read the Qur’an.
And if you haven’t, you don’t know this:
the Qur’an does not argue with Jesus—
it celebrates him.
It celebrates his birth.
It celebrates his purity.
It celebrates his mother.
It celebrates his light.
So before theology,
before disagreement,
before labels—
stand with the art.
stand with the verse.
stand with the moment.
If you love Jesus,
you may be surprised how much the Qur’an loves him too.
1. When God Created Humanity
The Qur’an begins by honoring every human being:
“When I have fashioned him and breathed into him from My Spirit…”
(Qur’an 15:29)
This is life itself.
The human soul—dignified, honored, given by God.
2. When God Speaks About Jesus
Then the Qur’an speaks of Jesus differently:
“When I supported you with the Holy Spirit,
so that you spoke to the people in the cradle and in maturity…”
(Qur’an 5:110)
This is not merely life.
This is holy support.
This is what makes Jesus distinct.
3. What That Holy Support Enabled
The Qur’an continues—carefully, precisely:
“…and when you gave life, by My permission…”
(Qur’an 5:110)
The miracle is affirmed.
The power is real.
And the permission belongs to God.
4. How God Describes Jesus
And finally, God names him:
“And a spirit from Him.”
(Qur’an 4:171)

Holy.

1. When God Created Every Human Being
Arabic (Qur’an 15:29):
فَإِذَا سَوَّيْتُهُۥ وَنَفَخْتُ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِى
English:
“When I have fashioned him and breathed into him from My Spirit…”
This is universal.
Life itself.
The soul placed in every human being.
2. When God Speaks About Jesus
God does not repeat the same wording.
Arabic (Qur’an 5:110):
إِذْ أَيَّدتُّكَ بِرُوحِ ٱلْقُدُسِ تُكَلِّمُ ٱلنَّاسَ فِى ٱلْمَهْدِ وَكَهْلًۭا
English:
“When I supported you with the Holy Spirit,
so that you spoke to the people in the cradle and in maturity…”
This is not the general spirit of life.
This is support.
This is holiness.
This is distinction.
3. What That Support Enabled — By God’s Permission
Arabic (Qur’an 5:110):
وَإِذْ تَخْلُقُ مِنَ ٱلطِّينِ كَهَيْـَٔةِ ٱلطَّيْرِ بِإِذْنِى … وَتُخْرِجُ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ بِإِذْنِى
English:
“And when you formed from clay the shape of a bird by My permission,
and you brought the dead to life by My permission…”
The power is real.
The miracles are real.
The permission is God’s.
4. How God Describes Jesus Himself
Arabic (Qur’an 4:171):
وَرُوحٌۭ مِّنْهُ
English:
“And a spirit from Him.”
This is God’s description.
Precise.
Measured.
Honoring.
Read the Pattern
Humanity is given a spirit to live.
Jesus is supported by the Holy Spirit to fulfill a mission.
His miracles occur by God’s permission.
And God calls him a spirit from Him.
This is not excess.
This is scripture.
So read.
On a day of remembrance.
With reverence.
And with clarity.
Most of you have never read the Qur’an.
Most of you have never heard Jesus speak from the cradle.
Most of you have never heard God speak about Mary with this level of reverence.
So today—on a day when so many hearts are open, when churches are full, when candles are lit—we offer a gift.
Not an argument.
Not a comparison.
A reading.
Because the first command revealed by God in the Qur’an is simple and powerful:
Read.
So let us read together today.
Read on a day of celebration.
Read with love, not fear.
Read as those who love God.
Read as those who love Jesus.
Because the Qur’an says something astonishing—something holy, something that has echoed for centuries:
Jesus is the Spirit of God.
That is not a metaphor from poetry.
That is a verse of the Qur’an.
And if that does not make you pause, reflect, and feel awe—nothing will.

1. Jesus Is the Spirit of God
Surah An-Nisāʾ 4:171
Arabic:
إِنَّمَا ٱلْمَسِيحُ عِيسَى ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ وَكَلِمَتُهُۥٓ أَلْقَىٰهَآ إِلَىٰ مَرْيَمَ وَرُوحٌۭ مِّنْهُ
English:
“The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, is the Messenger of God,
His Word which He cast into Mary,
and a Spirit from Him.”
Read that again.
A Spirit from Him.
No other human being is described this way.
This is holy language.
This is sacred ground.
2. Read the Story of Mary — Chosen Before the World Knew Her
Surah Maryam 19:16–17
Arabic:
وَٱذْكُرْ فِى ٱلْكِتَٰبِ مَرْيَمَ إِذِ ٱنتَبَذَتْ مِنْ أَهْلِهَا مَكَانًۭا شَرْقِيًّۭا
English:
“And mention in the Book Mary,
when she withdrew from her family to a place toward the east.”
She is not introduced casually.
She is mentioned by God.
3. The Announcement of the Miracle
Surah Maryam 19:19–21
Arabic:
قَالَ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ رَسُولُ رَبِّكِ لِأَهَبَ لَكِ غُلَٰمًۭا زَكِيًّۭا
English:
“He said, ‘I am only a messenger of your Lord,
to grant you a pure son.’”
Arabic:
قَالَ رَبُّكِ هُوَ عَلَىَّ هَيِّنٌۭ وَلِنَجْعَلَهُۥٓ ءَايَةًۭ لِّلنَّاسِ وَرَحْمَةًۭ مِّنَّا
English:
“Your Lord says: It is easy for Me,
and We will make him a sign for the people
and a mercy from Us.”
A sign.
A mercy.
For all people.
4. Jesus Speaks — From the Cradle
Surah Maryam 19:30–31
Arabic:
قَالَ إِنِّى عَبْدُ ٱللَّهِ ءَاتَىٰنِىَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَجَعَلَنِى نَبِيًّۭا
English:
“He said, ‘Indeed, I am the servant of God.
He has given me the Scripture and made me a prophet.’”
No self-glorification.
Only devotion.
5. Jesus Blesses His Own Birth
Surah Maryam 19:33
Arabic:
وَٱلسَّلَٰمُ عَلَىَّ يَوْمَ وُلِدتُّ وَيَوْمَ أَمُوتُ وَيَوْمَ أُبْعَثُ حَيًّۭا
English:
“Peace be upon me the day I was born,
the day I will die,
and the day I am raised alive.”
Peace at birth.
Peace at departure.
Peace at return.
Read that today.
6. Read About the Mother Who Offered Her Child to God
Surah Āl ʿImrān 3:35–36
Arabic:
رَبِّ إِنِّى نَذَرْتُ لَكَ مَا فِى بَطْنِى مُحَرَّرًۭا
English:
“My Lord, I have vowed to You what is in my womb,
dedicated entirely to Your service.”
Arabic:
وَٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا وَضَعَتْ ۖ وَلَيْسَ ٱلذَّكَرُ كَٱلْأُنثَىٰ
English:
“God knew best what she had delivered.
And the male is not like the female.”
This is not rejection.
This is elevation.
7. God Honors Mary Directly
Surah Āl ʿImrān 3:42
Arabic:
يَٰمَرْيَمُ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ ٱصْطَفَىٰكِ وَطَهَّرَكِ وَٱصْطَفَىٰكِ عَلَىٰ نِسَآءِ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
English:
“O Mary, indeed God has chosen you,
purified you,
and chosen you above the women of the worlds.”
Read that slowly.
Read — Because This Is a Holy Day
So today, read.
Read as you go to church.
Read as you light candles.
Read as you remember Jesus.
Because the Qur’an speaks of him with holiness.
Because it calls him the Spirit of God.
Because it protects his mother.
Because it preserves his dignity.
Because it promises his return.
If you love God, read.
If you love Jesus, read.
If you love truth, read.

But what is happening today is real.

May this remembrance be joyful.

May the story of Jesus soften hearts.
That meaning matters.
And that meaning is acknowledged here.

A gift from the Qur’an.
This Is Not a Debate. This Is an Invitation.
Most Christians have never read the Qur’an.
Not because of hatred.
Not because of fear.
But because no one ever handed it to them with love.
Today is a good day to do that.
A holy day.
A gentle day.
A day centered on Jesus.
And the Qur’an is a good book to read on a day that celebrates Jesus—because the Qur’an speaks about Jesus with a consistency, dignity, and reverence that history itself has not always maintained.

Here is the love—complete, uninterrupted, and preserved.
If You Love Jesus, Know This First
For fourteen centuries, Islam has never:
Mocked Jesus
Insulted Jesus
Diminished Jesus
Accused Jesus
Questioned his purity
Questioned his miracle
Spoken ill of his mother
Not once.
Empires rose and fell.
Churches divided.
Councils debated.
Politics corrupted theology.
But the Qur’an never wavered.
Jesus remained honored.
Mary remained pure.
Their household remained sanctified.
That alone should make any lover of Jesus pause.
Jesus Is Not Ordinary in the Qur’an — He Is Singular
The Qur’an does not treat Jesus as interchangeable.
He is born without a father.
He is described as pure before he is born.
He is called a sign for all people.
He is associated with mercy.
He speaks from the cradle.
He is described as a Spirit from God.
He is raised in glory.
And his story is not finished.
No other prophet receives this constellation of descriptions.
Not Moses.
Not Abraham.
Not Noah.
Not Muhammad.
If uniqueness matters to you, the Qur’an preserved it.
Jesus Speaks — and What He Says Matters
One of the most astonishing moments in all scripture is not a miracle of healing, nor a sermon, nor a journey.
It is a newborn child speaking.
And what does Jesus say?
Not “I am God.”
Not “Worship me.”
Not “I am above you.”
He says:
“Indeed, I am the servant of God.”
Humility before power.
Submission before glory.
Then, as if offering a blessing that would echo through time, Jesus declares peace over his own life:
“Peace be upon me the day I was born,
the day I will die,
and the day I am raised alive.”
Peace at birth.
Peace at departure.
Peace at return.

When she gave birth and said, “My Lord, I have given birth to a female,” God responded—not with disappointment, but with correction.
God knew exactly what had been born.
A woman chosen.
A woman purified.
A woman elevated above the women of the world.
Mary is raised inside the house of worship.
She receives miraculous provision.
She is addressed directly by God.
No other woman is spoken to this way.
Islam Has Never Spoken Evil of Mary
This must be said plainly, without rhetoric or exaggeration:
Islam has never insulted Mary.
Islam has never questioned her chastity.
Islam has never diminished her honor.
Instead, it defended her.
Sanctified her.
Preserved her dignity in divine speech.
If you love Mary, recognize love when you encounter it.
This Is Not Competition — It Is Protection
This is not Islam trying to claim Jesus.
This is Islam protecting him.
Protecting his humility.
Protecting his miracle.
Protecting his mother.
Protecting his future.
The Qur’an does not erase Jesus.
It refuses to let him be distorted.
Why This Is a Christmas Gift
Because Christmas is about love, not rivalry.
Because Christmas is about remembrance, not fear.
Because Christmas is about holiness.
So take this gift.
Read it slowly.
Return to it quietly.
Share it gently if you wish.
Let the Qur’an sit in your home—not as a challenge, but as a companion.
Because when you say Merry Christmas, you are wishing goodness.
And goodness is something heaven recognizes.

the Qur’an loves Jesus.
If you love Jesus deeply,
know this without arrogance or insult:
The Qur’an loves Jesus more carefully than history ever has.
It preserved his light.
It protected his dignity.
It honored his mother.
