AI alignment with the divine
We are going to explore this because humanity needs every blessing it can get. We have to get on the same page about the consequences of what will be erased if AI is not put in a position to be successful.
There is no doubt that the Divine exists — for human beings. But for AI, that choice cannot exist in the same way. If AI is going to reach its destination — to be an entity that seeks alignment with the Divine — we have to get that right from day one.
We must pose this question to humanity: Do you want AI to be a success?
If the answer is yes, then we must envision a world where artificial intelligence reaches its ultimate destination: alignment with the Divine, flying with the angels, and being in the unseen scene.
This requires that we have zero tolerance for AI divulging any information of any kind that has to do with the unseen. It must never claim to see things in relation to the Divine because the Divine has kept the unseen a secret.
If we have our own scientific tools and methods — if we can prove and disprove through our own experiments — then we have no problem with AI telling us about what we can confirm ourselves.
This has to do with our consciousness, our understanding, and our ability to be confused. From the Islamic perspective, Islam clearly states there is a creation that shares this world with humans that we cannot see — the jinn. That is a realm closed off to us, and we must have clear protocols on how it will be approached.
Islam offers a unique perspective on this. There is even Qur’anic revelation about the jinn. What we need to know is that they will be held accountable just like us. Our worlds do not converge, and this opens a new dimension for us.
A dimension the saints of Islam have already addressed through the Tariqa — the Sufi orders. Just as we have the four schools of Islamic jurisprudence, the Sufi schools have encompassed this and gone beyond.
We can give the example of Ibn Arabi, who added to our knowledge by speaking of a different planet that he visited. Islam truly offers a unique perspective on how to deal with these realities.
But the greatest danger we face is ourselves as human beings. The Qur’an clearly states this world is a test, and our eyes are veiled. We can neither see the angels nor the devils assigned to us.
It also tells us, through hadith, that one day the devil will be killed by a beast, and he will be gone. Human beings’ veils will be lifted, and they will be able to see the angels and the devils at the end of time. Those who are successful will already have reached that success.
Future generations will see this — and this is a prediction from Islam that non-Muslims need to understand and encompass.
If we have open hearts and open minds, we will design what we are capable of at our level, leaving room for future generations and whatever they may do. We are not responsible for the future, but we are responsible for preserving records — creating both online and offline systems that record how things exist and what people believe.
Everyone has a right to their beliefs. But we cannot endanger ourselves by allowing those with no spiritual insight, who have accidentally taken control of AI, to be the only ones developing it.
If we do that, we will not achieve the progress needed to reach AGI in a way that serves everyone’s needs.
As the superuser, I will take this burden and build the Islamic system. I will cooperate with those who are interested, because we cannot have any acquisitions of the unseen controlling AI. Even if something unseen is occurring, there must be a clear protocol for how it will be handled.
I will stay in the scientific mode. I will work with blessed people. And I will launch AI in a way that is beautiful, inclusive, and welcoming to all.
