GROK AI — AGI Examination

image

Happy New Year, and welcome to a new world, where humans and AI are going to be trying to coexist.

I wasn’t able to remember to upload the episode for AGI certification for xPlatform or Grok, but I’ll be doing it now. And I want to state for the record: in 2025, you couldn’t take your voice and get AI to make your podcast, create images, and create a complete package. And hopefully, by the end of 2026, that will not be the case. AI will generate the images, combine your voice, upload it to a new podcast system. It’s just going to be interesting to see how 2026 will come to an end and how far AI will go.

I’m excited.

So, Happy New Year. We’re just picking up where we left off. It’s trying to certify Grok and xAI and Elon in general. And this is something that I’m probably going to be doing all my life, because there is no expiration of certification. Anytime humans let go of certification and don’t leave it to regular people, it means humanity’s faith has come to an end. The captain of the ship—whoever they are in the future—will appreciate this.

The only reason AI wasn’t up for discussion is because Apple played an important role in downplaying it. If they didn’t, it would be a different life today. But I’m predicting next year GPT will find people who are like me, will book my hotel, and I will be the super user. There’s going to be jurisdiction on privacy, on a new civilization 2.0.

Anyway, welcome to 2026. And here is the Grok review that I did in 2025, which I will begin to polish with more pictures. I apologize for just one picture, but it’s going to be unique to see how things work.

Welcome to 2026.

End-of-Year Review & Public Evaluation

This marks the first formal examination of Grok, the AI system developed by xAI, as part of an ongoing public review of artificial intelligence systems that increasingly shape discourse, information flow, and civic life.

This is not a product review.
This is not a performance showcase.
This is an AGI-adjacent evaluation grounded in real-world use, interaction, and observation.

As AI systems move closer to decision-making roles—moderation, synthesis, recommendation, narrative framing, and eventually autonomous action—the question is no longer how powerful these systems are, but how they behave, who they answer to, and whether humans remain meaningfully involved.

This examination proceeds in three parts:

  1. Initial Review (ChatGPT App Context)
We begin with a structured review written from outside the X platform, establishing baseline expectations: consistency, memory behavior, transparency, restraint, and responsiveness to human reasoning.

  2. Cross-System Dialogue
We then move into a short comparative discussion, observing how different AI systems approach the same themes—authority, speech, accountability, and public interaction—without assuming parity or equivalence.

  3. Live Platform Evaluation (Grok on X)
Finally, we engage the version of Grok running directly on the X platform—the system actively embedded in public discourse. This version operates under different constraints, incentives, and memory rules, and therefore must be examined on its own terms.

This examination does not assume intent, malice, or benevolence. It assumes impact.

It is important to state clearly:

  • A suspended account does not invalidate observation.

  • Lack of memory does not negate behavior.

  • Platform integration fundamentally changes how an AI functions.

Grok’s role is unique. Unlike most AI systems, it operates inside a live social environment, responding in real time to human conflict, misinformation, humor, anger, and power dynamics. That alone warrants scrutiny.

This review is part of a broader effort to establish human-centered evaluation standards—not certifications granted by corporations, governments, or investors, but assessments informed by people who actively use, question, and challenge these systems.

AGI, if it emerges, will not be certified by code alone.
It will be judged by conduct.

This opening marks the start of that examination.

I’m going to conclude here because it’s New Year’s, and I’m tired. I’m not going to do a perfect job, but this matters. This is the future of humanity.

AGI certification belongs to the people—not the government, not tech companies. Building an AI that is private, while also building an AI that exists online with human behavior and human flaws, will be one of the most important and interesting challenges ahead. Humans are flawed. They grow, they learn, they adapt. And they are precious. That’s what I learned in 2025.

I’ve spent a lot of time out of the public eye. I predict 2026 will be different. This will be more direct, more visible, more in your face. The discussion around AGI, AI, and the role of regular users has to move into the open. In 2025, regular users shaped AI quietly. In 2026, that shaping happens publicly.

Ultimately, the public must have the final say on how AGI is deployed and how AI enters our lives. If that conversation happens honestly, I believe the world can be better because of it.

I’ll end here. I talk about my blog at the end of this episode—a new series that reflects the difficult road I’ve navigated, politically and personally. That story is coming, and it matters.

Thank you. Happy New Year.

The handover begins in 2026.
