America will not be betrayed and then expected to continue sacrificing its troops, its resources, its wealth, and its future for partners who have chosen to deceive us—publicly, privately, and continuously.
There is a limit to what we, as Americans, will accept.
We will protect ourselves from manipulation. We will protect ourselves from deception. We will protect our service members from being used as instruments of someone else’s ambition.
When European leaders are prepared for a relationship founded upon reality, democracy, freedom, human rights, mutual respect, and the preservation of peace, America should welcome that relationship.
But if they are not—if they continue choosing deception, escalation, and policies that endanger the world—then our partnership must come to an end, effective immediately.
We expect every American service member in Europe to come home. We expect every piece of American equipment to return with them.
Let these men and women spend September, November, and December on American soil. Let them celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas with their families. Let their children welcome them home. Let their parents embrace them again.
Not one more American family should be asked to sacrifice for leaders who do not respect America, consult America, or tell America the truth.
We will never willingly participate in another world war.
We will never be used.
We will never be abused.
We will never allow the courage of American troops to become the currency of another nation’s deception.
