Building Online with the West, Rooted in
Imam Husayn and the House of Wisdom
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
On the next one, I will be going through building on top of what the journalists have done — adding Imam Hussein, and also adding the House of Wisdom equations.
This is where we begin the online part. This is where we join Western civilization. Not as followers. Not as imitators. As builders. As contributors. As those who take what is good, purify it, and elevate it — just as our ancestors did in the House of Wisdom.
I. THE BEGINNING OF JOURNALISM — THE FIRST PROTOCOL
I have already written the foundation. It is called A New Beginning for Journalism — the first protocol of the Super User Office.
In that document, I established something the Muslim world has not yet seen: a complete architecture for truth in the age of artificial intelligence. I laid out the governance structure. I defined the standards. I built the framework.
And at the heart of that framework is the Cronkite Standard.
On February 27, 1968, Walter Cronkite did not deliver a political attack. He did not perform for social media clips. He simply stood before the American people, presented the unvarnished reality of the Vietnam War, and declared it a stalemate.
He was a reporter doing his actual job: acting as an unyielding, pristine mirror to power.
President Lyndon B. Johnson had the residual patriotism and respect for the presidency to look into that mirror, recognize the divergence between his policy and reality, and step aside. Johnson did not resign because he was defeated by an opponent; he resigned out of profound respect for the integrity of the office.
That is the standard we are transferring.
We are taking the current news system — the anchors, the chair, the responsibility — and we are transferring it into a new architecture. The anchor's chair is not just a seat. It is a trust. It is a burden. It is a responsibility before Allah.
And we are connecting this Western standard — this moment of integrity that the West produced — to our offline Islamic system. The anchors, the reporters, the editors — they must be trained. They must be tested. They must be certified. They must carry the chain of transmission — the isnad — that connects them back to teachers of truth.
That is the beginning of journalism.
That is the first protocol.
That is what I have already written.
II. THE HOUSE OF WISDOM — BUILDING ON WHAT CAME BEFORE
We built algebra. We built on zero. We built many great things upon the foundations of those who came before us — the Greeks, the Indians, the Persians.
We did not reject their knowledge because they were not Muslim.
We took what was good. We purified it. We elevated it. We systematized it. We universalized it. And we made it our own.
Now we are going to do the same with journalism.
We are building on the truth.
And who is more truthful than the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him?
Imam Husayn (peace be upon him) did not give his hand to a tyrant. He did not trade truth for comfort. He stood in the desert with his family, knowing the outcome, and he did not flinch.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
أَفْضَلُ الْجِهَادِ كَلِمَةُ حَقٍّ عِنْدَ سُلْطَانٍ جَائِرٍ
"The most excellent jihad is a word of truth spoken before a tyrannical ruler."

That is the standard we are building into this new journalism.
Not comfort.
Not a paycheck.
Not a timeslot.
Not a corporate pension.
But a mechanism without a soul is just a machine. A mirror without a conscience is just glass. That is why we must add the second foundation — the standard that transcends journalism itself. He was a model of steadfastness in truth. He did not give his hand to a tyrant. He did not sell his Hereafter for worldly gain. He stood for truth when standing meant death. He stood against tyranny when silence was safer. He stood for justice when justice stood alone. And he declared: "I have not risen to spread corruption or oppression. Rather, I have risen to seek reform in the Ummah of my grandfather. I desire to enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong".

That is the standard we are adding to Walter Cronkite's mirror. Cronkite held up the mirror and a president resigned out of respect for the office. Imam Husayn held up the mirror and he gave his life — because he respected Allah more than he feared any ruler. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The best form of jihad is a word of truth spoken before a tyrannical ruler". That is the standard we are building into this new journalism. Not comfort. Not a paycheck. Not a timeslot. Truth, even when it costs everything. Cronkite showed us the mechanism of accountability. Imam Husayn shows us the soul of accountability. We are building with both.

III. JOINING THE WEST — THE ONLINE SYSTEM
The online system has to be built with the West.
They are in charge. They have the infrastructure. They have the platforms. They have the technology. They have the global reach.
And for the last hundred years, Muslims have been sidelined participants. We have watched. We have consumed. We have not built.
That ends now.
The West has a framework. That framework has failed — but it has also been a success. It produced Cronkite. It produced moments of integrity. It produced mechanisms of accountability.
We do not reject this because it comes from the West.
We pick it up.
We purify it.
We build upon it.
Just like the House of Wisdom did.
IV. THE WALTER CRONKITE ARCHITECTURE — THE AI STANDARD

Television is going off.
AI systems and autonomous bots are becoming the primary interface through which people receive information.
The West has already built the architecture for this transition. I have documented it in The Walter Cronkite Architecture (AI Standard):
Truth as Infrastructure — an append-only system with memory. Nothing is erased. Everything is tracked.
Immutable Memory — once verified, permanently preserved, never overwritten. Corrections are appended, not replacements.
Verification Before Reach — every report requires source attribution, confidence scoring, and disclosure of uncertainty.
Rank by Record — ranking is based on historical accuracy, correction behavior, and temporal consistency, not popularity.
This is the framework the West has built.
We are not reinventing the wheel.
We are taking what they have built, and we are standing on their shoulders.
We are taking it to a higher level.
V. TRANSFERRING THE ANCHOR'S CHAIR — CONNECTING TO OFFLINE

The current news system has anchors. It has chairs. It has responsibility.
We are transferring that system into our new architecture.
But we are doing something the West has not done.
We are connecting the online system to the offline system.
The online system is where the world sees the truth.
The offline system is where the truth-tellers are trained, tested, and certified.
The anchors must be certified by teachers of truth.
The reporters must carry a chain of transmission — isnad — that connects them back to scholars of integrity.
The editors must fear Allah more than they fear their owners or advertisers.
This is what the West does not have.
The West has journalism schools that teach techniques.
The West has ethics courses that teach theories.
The West has accreditation bodies that evaluate institutions.
But the West does not have teachers who test the soul.
The West does not have scholars who certify the character.
The West does not have a chain of truthful people carrying the legacy of truth from one generation to the next.
We have that.
And we are going to connect it to the online system.
VI. WHAT COMES IN PART TWO
In Part Two, I will go deeper into the House of Wisdom equations — the specific framework we are building upon the foundation of traditional journalism.
I will show you exactly how we are:
Adding Imam Husayn to the journalist's conscience
Building the isnad of journalism — the chain of certified truth-tellers
Taking the Cronkite standard and elevating it with Islamic accountability
That is coming next.
VII. CLOSING — THE BEGINNING
This is the beginning.
Not the end.
Not a reform of the old system.
A complete replacement.
We are building on top of what the traditional journalists have built. We are not discarding their contributions. We are not erasing their legacy.
We are standing on their shoulders.
And we are taking their craft to a higher level — a level rooted in the standard of Imam Husayn, who stood for truth when standing cost everything, and rooted in the spirit of the House of Wisdom, which transformed the knowledge of the ancients into the foundation of modern civilization.
That is what comes next.
That is the next chapter.

Part 3 is coming.
Which has to do with the House of Wisdom and dividing how information belongs to individual and belongs to AI and how this is also connected to SmartThings. It is the building of the foundation from the West now to our tradition with equations, House of Wisdom, and building a world where AI is connected.
We have to redefine everything.
The West isn't just fail; they are unprepared for the future. They've become stagnant like water, and when water becomes stagnant, you have disease, and that disease has led to the death of Palestinians.
The flow of information being not flowing properly.
Water must flow. It cannot be contained. Information and water are the same.
So I'll be concluding with the next article so that we can begin the change we need that has to do with the flow of information without misinformation, but also with the independence and the balance and the responsibility that is required to keep things pure so Allah accepts it.
Because if our Lord does not accept what we are doing, then we are sinful.
This has become mandatory and the Muslims not only to build but to implement and the Islamic perspective is:
فَرْضُ كِفَايَة — FARḌ KIFĀYAH
A COMMUNAL OBLIGATION.
This is where I leave Part One and where the next architecture begins.
If the systems through which humanity receives information are becoming part of the infrastructure of civilization, then Muslims cannot remain merely consumers of those systems. We must participate in building, governing, auditing, correcting, and protecting them.
The responsibility is not necessarily that every Muslim must become a journalist, engineer, scholar, or AI architect.
But the Ummah must produce enough trustworthy people to fulfill these responsibilities.
We need scholars who understand the sacred standard.
We need journalists who understand the responsibility of the word.
We need engineers who understand the responsibility of the algorithm.
We need teachers who can transmit character.
We need institutions capable of protecting independence.
And we need ordinary people willing to support those who undertake the work.
That is the meaning of farḍ kifāyah in the architecture I am proposing: the community cannot simply abandon a necessary responsibility and assume somebody else will protect it.
And this becomes even more important as artificial intelligence enters the information system.
Information must flow — but truthfully.
Information must move — but responsibly.
Information must remain independent — but accountable.
Like water, it must not become stagnant.
But unlike uncontrolled water, it must also have channels, boundaries, purification, and stewardship.
That is where the House of Wisdom returns.
Not as a museum.
Not as nostalgia.
As a method.
We take what humanity has already discovered.
We preserve what is good.
We identify what has failed.
We add what our tradition gives us.
We build the equations.
We connect the human being to the machine without surrendering the human being to the machine.
And above everything, we remember the standard with which this entire project began:
إِنَّ اللَّهَ طَيِّبٌ لَا يَقْبَلُ إِلَّا طَيِّبًا
“Indeed, Allah is Pure and accepts only that which is pure.”
If we are going to build the information infrastructure of the AI age, then let us build something worthy of being presented before Allah.
