Beware: The Hidden Enemies of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) Are Among Us
The Signs Are Clear—Are You Paying Attention?
There are enemies of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) walking among us, disguised as teachers, scholars, and influencers. They have infiltrated our mosques, our platforms, our books, and our minds. They are not the disbelievers of old, openly rejecting Islam. No, these are far more dangerous—they use the religion itself to cut off the light, turning knowledge into mere information, filling the airwaves with empty words while stripping away the essence of faith.
They quote the Qur'an, they narrate the Hadith, but their words are hollow, devoid of the nur (light) that has guided the believers for centuries. They will never tell you where they got their knowledge from. They will not mention the chains of scholars who carried this knowledge before them. And worst of all—they will cut off the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) from his family, reducing his noble lineage to nothing but historical footnotes.
These people are everywhere, hiding in plain sight. And it’s time we expose them.
The First Sign: They Never Send Peace Upon the Prophet and His Family
Watch carefully when they speak. Listen closely. They will say the Prophet’s name, but something will always be missing. They never say "peace and blessings be upon him and his family."
Why? Because they are cut off from the light. Allah has withdrawn guidance from them. The Prophet himself instructed us to send peace upon him and his family, yet they refuse. In their hearts, they have already abandoned him.
“Verily, Allah and His Angels send blessings upon the Prophet. O you who have believed, send blessings upon him and his family and greet him with peace.” (Qur’an 33:56)
And yet, they will never follow this command properly. Test them. See for yourself.
The Second Sign: They Hate the Prophet’s Family
Mention the Prophet’s family—the Ahlul Bayt—and watch them flinch. Bring up Imam Ali, and their faces darken. Say the names of Sayyida Fatima, Imam Hassan, or Imam Hussain, and suddenly you’re accused of belonging to a sect, as if loving the family of the Prophet is an offense!
They do not want you to love the family of the Prophet because they themselves have been cut off from love. Their hearts are dry. Their tongues are bitter. They say they follow the Sunnah, but they erase the very people the Prophet loved the most.
They are not carriers of the Sunnah—they are enemies of the household of the Messenger.
The Third Sign: They Oppose the Celebration of the Prophet’s Birth
When Rabi' al-Awwal comes, they become restless. They start lecturing, telling you, "Mawlid is an innovation." They tell you not to celebrate, not to rejoice in the mercy of Allah that came into this world.
Yet, Allah Himself says:
“Say: In the bounty of Allah and in His mercy – in that let them rejoice; it is better than what they accumulate.” (Qur’an 10:58)
They want to stop you from loving the Prophet. They want to remove every sign of joy, every act of devotion, every remembrance that strengthens the connection between you and him.
Ask yourself: What kind of Muslim discourages love for the Messenger of Allah?
The Fourth Sign: They Reduce Knowledge to Just Information
They teach, they debate, they argue, but they lack illumination. Their knowledge does not transform hearts—it does not inspire action, it does not create sincerity.
Real knowledge comes from those who have purified themselves, who have studied under true scholars, who have taken wisdom from hearts filled with light. These frauds have none of that.
Imam Malik, one of the greatest scholars of Islam, would change his clothes and apply perfume before narrating a Hadith, treating the words of the Prophet with immense respect. Yet today, people on social media mock the religion, joke about Hadith, and turn sacred knowledge into entertainment.
The Fifth Sign: They Use Islam to Gain Influence and Followers
They do not spread knowledge for the sake of Allah. They do it for themselves. They crave attention. They want a following. They want likes, shares, and views.
They are merchants, selling religion like a product.
And in their pursuit of fame, they destroy the respect and sanctity of the knowledge passed down through centuries. They turn scholars into memes, Hadith into TikTok clips, and religion into a trend.
The Sixth Sign: They Do Not Respect the Scholars of Light
True scholars—those who have sat in circles of knowledge, those who have purified their hearts, those who have a chain of transmission back to the Prophet—are ignored and ridiculed by these people.
Instead, they elevate loud voices, not wise voices. They follow speakers, not scholars. They prefer those who entertain, not those who enlighten.
And worst of all? They attack the scholars who do carry the light.
They call them extreme. They call them misguided. They try to silence them. Because they know that true scholars would expose their fraud.
The Seventh Sign: They Twist the Religion to Fit Their Desires
When the Qur’an or Hadith contradicts their personal beliefs, they reinterpret it to suit their agenda. They do not submit to the religion—they make the religion submit to them.
They cherry-pick. They manipulate. They distort.
And all of this, they do in the name of Islam.
What You Must Do Now
The warning signs are clear. The enemies of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) are among us, and they are poisoning the religion from within.
Do not follow them. Do not share their words. Verify every source of knowledge.
If someone speaks about the religion, ask yourself:
✔️ Do they send peace and blessings upon the Prophet and his family?
✔️ Do they respect the Ahlul Bayt?
✔️ Do they honor and celebrate the Prophet’s legacy?
✔️ Do they come from a legitimate chain of scholars?
✔️ Do they carry knowledge with humility, or do they seek fame and attention?
✔️ Do their words fill you with light, or do they simply fill you with information?
This is a call to action. Protect your faith. Protect your knowledge. Do not allow these people to lead you astray.

In our pursuit of authentic Islamic knowledge, it's crucial to be vigilant about the sources we trust and the manners we uphold. Below is a checklist to help identify individuals who may misrepresent Islamic teachings and to remind us of the proper etiquettes, especially concerning the Qur'an.
Signs of False Scholars:
1. Lack of Proper Training and Authorization:
They have not studied under qualified scholars nor received ijazah (authorization) to teach.
Their knowledge is often self-taught, primarily from books or online sources, without the guidance of a mentor.
2. Arrogance and Harshness:
They display arrogance, are quick to anger, and lack humility in their interactions.
Their demeanor contrasts with the Prophet's (peace be upon him) example of gentleness and patience.
3. Inconsistent Personal Conduct:
Their personal behavior contradicts Islamic teachings, indicating a lack of internalization of the knowledge they profess.
They may exhibit unethical behavior, dishonesty, or other actions unbecoming of a true scholar.
4. Commercialization of Religion:
They monetize religious teachings excessively, prioritizing financial gain over genuine guidance.
Their platforms may be filled with advertisements, paid content, or merchandise, overshadowing the primary purpose of spreading knowledge.
5. Lack of Respect for Established Scholars:
They frequently criticize or undermine recognized scholars without valid reasons.
They may attempt to elevate themselves by discrediting others who are more knowledgeable.
Proper Etiquettes Regarding the Qur'an:
1. Maintaining Physical Purity:
Perform wudu (ablution) before touching or reciting the Qur'an.
Ensure that both your body and clothes are clean.
2. Respectful Handling:
Place the Qur'an on a clean, elevated surface; avoid placing it on the floor or any unclean area.
Use a dedicated cloth or cover to protect it when not in use.
3. Proper Recitation:
Sit in a dignified manner facing the Qibla during recitation.
Begin with seeking refuge from Shaytan by saying, "A'udhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim."
4. Avoiding Distractions:
Choose a quiet place free from distractions to maintain focus and reverence.
Turn off mobile devices or other potential interruptions during recitation.
5. Regular Engagement:
Engage with the Qur'an regularly to strengthen your connection and understanding.
Reflect upon its meanings and strive to implement its teachings in daily life.
By adhering to these guidelines,
we can protect ourselves from misleading teachings and uphold the sanctity of our faith.
