بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْم
Allah, known by many beautiful names, is described as Al-Malik (الملك), meaning "The Sovereign" or "The King." This divine name emphasizes Allah’s ultimate authority and dominion over all that exists, highlighting His role as the absolute ruler with no equal or rival. Al-Malik is one of the most profound of Allah's names, representing His ownership, governance, and control of the entire universe.

> فَتَعَالَى اللَّهُ الْمَلِكُ الْحَقُّ ۗ وَلَا تَعْجَلْ بِالْقُرْآنِ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يُقْضَىٰ إِلَيْكَ وَحْيُهُ وَقُل رَّبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا
"So high [above all] is Allah, the Sovereign, the Truth. And, [O Muhammad], do not hasten with [recitation of] the Qur'an before its revelation is completed to you, and say, 'My Lord, increase me in knowledge.'"

> الَّذِي لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَلَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَدًا وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ شَرِيكٌ فِي الْمُلْكِ وَخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ فَقَدَّرَهُ تَقْدِيرًا
"He to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and who has not taken a son and has not had a partner in dominion, and has created each thing and determined it with [precise] determination."

> "The Most Merciful divided mercy into one hundred parts. He kept with Him ninety-nine parts and sent down one part to the earth. From this one part, the creation is merciful to each other, so much so that an animal lifts its hoof over its young for fear of harming it."
This hadith reflects Allah's sovereignty over mercy, demonstrating that all compassion and kindness in the world are just a small portion of what belongs to Allah. His ownership over every aspect of existence, including mercy, further emphasizes His role as Al-Malik.

> "La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah"
("There is no power and no strength except with Allah.")
