Today, I’m announcing that I am building Tower One — a project I call Sovereign Spine — in collaboration with Claude (Anthropic). This is not just an app announcement. This is a declaration of a new paradigm.
The Problem Everyone Lived With
Every time you bought groceries, filled your tank, or paid a utility bill, that data traveled somewhere. Your card network logged it. The merchant’s POS system recorded it. A data broker somewhere aggregated it, enriched it, and sold it. You were the product — and you never saw a cent.
Advertising was built on this. Cookies tracked you across the web. Behavioral profiles were built in the dark. Businesses paid to reach “you” — but the “you” they bought was a construct assembled without your knowledge, your consent, or your participation.
The user was always the last to know their own data existed — and the last to profit from it.

Sovereign Spine works differently. You scan your receipt. Locally. On your device. The system extracts what matters — the merchant, the category, what you bought, what you paid — and strips everything else. No addresses. No card numbers. No transaction IDs. No cashier names. Gone.
What remains is a clean, structured data object. It gets written into a personal ledger — cryptographically chained, append-only, tamper-evident. Each entry is hashed using SHA-256. Each hash contains the fingerprint of the entry before it. The chain cannot be altered. The ledger cannot lie.

What We Are Building
The first proof of concept will be built with Claude as the primary development partner, operating through CoWork. The app will demonstrate the full ingestion pipeline: scan a receipt, sanitize the data, generate canonical JSON, compute the hash chain, and confirm the ledger entry.
End to end.
Transparent.
Verifiable.
This is the demo the industry needs to see. Not a pitch deck. A working system. A new ledger of human economic activity — one that belongs to the humans who created it.
Down the road, the architecture will be open. Other AI systems — whether Claude, Gemini, or open models — will be able to participate as agents in this economy. The ledger protocol is designed to be AI-agnostic. What matters is the hash. What matters is the truth of the chain.
